My music and theatre backgrounds began in West Virginia where I received my BA in the Performing Arts and continued with my music studies at Montclair State University where I obtained a MM in the Performing Arts, with an emphasis in operatic performance. I am a recent graduate student of Seton Hall University with a Master of Arts in Instructional Design and Technology/School Library Media Specialist Concentration.
Along with my Library Media Specialist position, I am the Director of Drama. I direct the BHS Fall play and Spring musical each year. It is an honor to now have the opportunity to serve our students as the Library Media Specialist in the Jr/Sr High School Library. Our library space is now undergoing an exciting renovation and is aiming to be reopened to our school community in the coming month. Though our library space is temporarily closed, our library offerings continue to grow and our collection now includes eBooks and audiobooks with a growing graphic novels/manga collection. We offer a Makerspace area with 3D printing and vinyl cutting with adhesive paper, as well as special events for both Library and Classrooms. Every day I am striving to better meet the needs of today's students, teaching research strategies and providing digital and media literacy instruction to support 21st century learners.
I am excited to work alongside the great staff and administration of the Bogota School District in order to help you and your student achieve your goals for education and the future.
