I am a graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College with a BA in the Performing Arts and of Montclair State University with a MM in the Performing Arts with an emphasis in operatic performance, as well as a student of Seton Hall University with a Master's of Arts in Instructional Design and Technology/School Library Media Specialist Concentration.
In the past, I have worked in Bogota, as a paraprofessional and the Stage Crew Advisor. I currently direct the Fall play and Spring musical, as well as teach theatre electives. I am honored to now have the opportunity to serve our students as the Media Specialist in the Jr/Sr High School Library. Our library space will be undergoing an exciting renovation in the near future thanks to the generosity of our community. Our library offerings continue to grow and our library collection now includes eBooks and audiobooks and a growing graphic novels/manga collection. We offer a Makerspace area with 3D printing and a sewing area, as well as special events and monthly activities for students to participate in. Every day I am striving to better meet the needs of today's students, teaching research strategies and providing digital and media literacy instruction to support 21st century learners.
I am excited to work alongside the great staff and administration of the Bogota School District in order to help you and your student achieve your goals for education and the future.
