At Boegner Farms, we know what it means to care for horses because we live it every day. Whether you need a place to board, a safe start for your young horse, help with conditioning, or quality hay for your herd, we’re here to share our facilities and experience with fellow horse people.
At Boegner Farms, our breeding program pairs proven mare families with sires known for speed, soundness, and correct conformation. We favor crosses that blend classic power with modern efficiency—lines influenced by Mr Jess Perry, Valiant Hero, and One Famous Eagle through horses we’ve campaigned like Boknaai and worked with in our program such as Hero’s R Famous.
From booking through foaling, mares receive attentive daily care and professional reproductive management. Foals are handled from day one for calm, confident minds: halter work, routine farrier care, and age-appropriate handling that sets them up for the track and beyond. All foals are AQHA-registered with records kept current for prospective owners.
Homegrown on our fields, our coastal bermudagrass hay is fertilized and limed for balanced soils and a clean, leafy cut. We offer two coastal grades—premium coastal for horses/show stock and a cattle hay option for everyday roughage. We also supply alfalfa sourced from trusted growers in Mexico, hauled directly by our family from farm to Texas for safe handling and consistent quality. Round and square bales available.
Our fixed-speed, single-direction hot walker provides safe, low-impact movement for warm-ups, cool-downs, and light conditioning between track and swim days. Because speed and direction aren’t adjustable, we use timed sets tailored to each horse and monitor closely to keep the work controlled and consistent—supporting soundness, heart-rate recovery, and everyday maintenance without added stress.
Our facility includes a well-built round pen, ideal for colt starting, groundwork, and training. This controlled environment provides a safe space for breaking young horses, refining skills, and building trust between horse and handler.
Our facility features a dedicated horse swimming lane, designed for low-impact conditioning and rehabilitation. The gradual entry allows horses to walk in safely, while handlers guide them from either side with lead ropes for controlled aquatic exercise.
Our facility includes a standard-size training track, open for use by local horsemen. The track is equipped with a starting gate for racehorse schooling, providing a safe and professional environment for conditioning and gate work.
