Our Story
Bodhi Centre for Literary Studies, Kochi, was established in 2021 with a vision to host as many new literary voices as possible. It began as an organic community of literature lovers and has grown into a focused literary initiative led by its founding editor, Abijit Radhakrishna, a writer by passion and a college teacher by profession.
Bodhi is not defined by geography. It is rooted in Kochi’s cultural fabric, but in a broader sense, Bodhi exists wherever its members and contributors are: spread across cities, campuses, and creative circles throughout India.
Although compact in structure, Bodhi follows a rigorous editorial process. For each anthology or publication cycle, an editorial panel (comprising academics, writers, and interns) is constituted to review submissions judiciously. The Centre also works closely with an external Advisory Committee that meets annually to discuss long-term vision and action plans. Production, coordination, and design follow a streamlined internal workflow, with printing outsourced to trusted partners. This model allows Bodhi to maintain both quality and flexibility.
Despite the 'Kochi' tag, Bodhi remains outward-looking; our catalogue has received strong visibility across digital platforms such as Google Play Books and Goodreads. With over 120 authors featured so far, many of them first-time writers, we continue to offer an accessible and nationally relevant publishing platform.
