Dr. Bobby Dolan
Assistant Professor-in-Residence Math
University of Connecticut
As a dedicated math professor with 10+ years of experience teaching at the college level, I am passionate about inspiring students to appreciate the beauty and relevance of mathematics in their everyday lives. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of teaching a diverse range of courses, from problem solving and college algebra to multivariable calculus and differential equations.
My teaching philosophy centers on fostering a collaborative and inclusive learning environment, where students feel empowered to explore, ask questions, and develop critical thinking skills. I strive to make complex concepts accessible and engaging, often incorporating real-world applications and technology to enhance understanding.
In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I am committed to continuous professional development and actively engage in teaching seminars and workshops offered by my department and CLAS. I believe that my role as an educator extends beyond the classroom, and I aim to mentor students as they navigate their academic and professional journeys.
Through this portfolio, I invite you to explore my teaching practices, course materials, and reflections on my growth as an educator. I look forward to sharing my passion for mathematics and my commitment to student success.
