I am a multicultural actor, writer, and emerging director with a global perspective shaped by decades of experience across Indian and international cinema. Born in North India into a Punjabi Sikh family and raised in Chennai, South India, I grew up immersed in a diverse blend of cultures, languages, and artistic traditions a foundation that continues to inspire my work today.
My acting career began in 1993 with the critically acclaimed Tamil film Nammavar, where I had the honour of sharing the screen with Padma Shri Kamal Haasan Ji. Over the years, I’ve worked in a wide range of South and North Indian films, including Tamil Selvan, Thottil Kuzhandhai, Chachi 420, Villathi Villan, Indian, Love Today, Aalavandhan, Abhay, Jana, M Kumaran Son of Mahalakshmi, Sukran...etc
Now based in the UK, I continue to build a vibrant international career in Film and Television. My English-language credits include Death on the Nile, Catherine Called Birdy, Mission: Impossible, Back in Action, and television series such as Doctors, Casualty, Sister Boniface, Elona Holmes, This Town, Sweetpea, Fool Me Once, Carry On Jatta3 (Punjabi), Maujaan Hi Maujaan (Punjabi), Picture This, Silo, Adolescence, Man Like Mobeen, Larkin, Old Is Gold...etc
Fluent in English, Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil, and Urdu, I bring cultural depth, linguistic agility, and emotional authenticity to every performance.
In addition to acting, I’ve recently begun writing for the screen and developing original film scripts. With a passion for storytelling that goes beyond performance, I’m now stepping into the world of directing — ready to bring my vision to life from behind the camera as well.
