(We also review your boat’s equipment and suggest simple upgrades if needed.)
My goal is simple: safe, confident boat handling.
Lessons are one-on-one, calm, and methodical, taught on your boat at your marina. We drill real moves—docking, anchoring, navigation, GPS setup—until they stick. You leave with checklists and Cockpit Cards to stay calm under stress.
I carry $500,000 Captain’s liability insurance. We train within your marina’s rules and conditions. Travel/time adders apply outside local radius.
Do you train new owners?
Yes—that’s my specialty. Calm, step-by-step practice until docking and anchoring feel routine.
Can my family or crew join?
Yes. I assign clear roles and give simple scripts so everyone knows what to do.
Will we practice in wind/current?
When conditions allow, yes—that’s where confidence is built. Safety first, always.
Do you provide checklists?
Yes—pre-departure, docking, anchoring, and emergency Cockpit Cards (PDF).
