This Privacy Policy describes how Boar Games ("we", "our", or "the app") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile application. By using Boar Games, you agree to the practices described below.
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your username, email address, and a password. The password is stored as a salted hash by our authentication provider; we never see or store it in plain text.
Profile and game photos. If you choose to set a profile picture or attach photos to a game or tournament, those images are uploaded from your device's photo library and stored in our cloud storage. We only access photos you explicitly select — we do not scan or read your photo library.
Game data. Information you create within the app, such as game results, tournament brackets, scores, friend connections, and shared games. This data is associated with your account.
Technical data. Standard information like crash reports and basic device information (OS version, app version) provided by the Expo and React Native runtime, used solely for diagnosing problems.
We do not collect: your location, contacts, calendar, microphone audio, browsing history, advertising identifiers, or precise device identifiers. Boar Games contains no third-party advertising.
To create and authenticate your account.
To save and sync your games, tournaments, friends, and profile across devices.
To enable social features (friends, shared games) that you opt into.
To diagnose crashes and improve app reliability.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Boar Games relies on the following providers, who process data on our behalf under their own privacy commitments:
Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage. (https://supabase.com/privacy)
Expo / EAS — application runtime and build infrastructure. (https://expo.dev/privacy)
Google Play Services — distribution and crash reporting on Android. (https://policies.google.com/privacy)
Account credentials and game data are stored on Supabase's managed infrastructure with encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Session tokens are stored locally on your device using secure storage provided by the operating system. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, but no system can be guaranteed 100% secure.
We retain your account and game data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account (see below), we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.
You can:
Access or update your profile information from within the app.
Delete your account and associated data by emailing us at the address below. We will confirm receipt and process the request within 30 days.
Withdraw consent at any time by deleting the app and your account.
If you are in the EU/EEA, UK, or California, you have additional rights under GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA, including the right to request a copy of your data and to object to processing. Contact us using the details below to exercise these rights.
Boar Games is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email.
