We are bringing back Founder's Day!
Founder's Day will be held on Sunday, April 13th, so please be sure to save the date. We would love it if you all are able to come down to the chapter house and hang out with us for the day. We plan on doing a school tour, a BBQ, and a field day as well. If there is anything else you all would want to do/ see, please let me know.
We have officially started Greek Week!
I will be keeping you all posted (see below) throughout the week on how Lambda Chi is doing in the event. So far we are in 5th, but we are consistently striving to win this year! If anyone is able to, please come out and support our players; we greatly appreciate it!
We have an official schedule for Initiation Week.
Here is the Google Doc link for all the I-Week events: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1lUNhqt5jnWwuTi23nfK87C3p0f27r3YDVBhaZ9vIYUQ/edit?usp=sharing. If you have any questions, please contact our High Phi, Nick Czincila (BN-868). Here is his contact info: 484-661-0116, Nczincila@gmail.com.
I will be sharing chapter summaries.
Below are links to the weekly chapter slides. I will continue to try and keep you all up to date as best as I can, but I figured that this was a good way to start.
These are all the big announcements I have as of right now. I am also still working on trying to get the third issue of the Beta Nus out to you all as soon as I can and thank you all for your patience for it. Thank you all for you time.

Here is my take on Founders Day “Weekend”.
————————————————————————
I think it is safe to say that the Fraternity is in the best hands it has been in a long time. We started with Ritual Friday night. Our intent was to stay for a portion and then call it an evening. It was so well done and flowed so well that it was early morning before we knew it and we were welcoming our new Brothers. There are roughly 28 active Brothers and they will only be losing 4 to graduation. This positions them very well for a strong AM class in the next go round. With that said, they can’t become complacent and take their foot of the gas in enlisting quality candidates.
Sunday we met at the Chapter house for introductions before heading over to campus for a walking tour. While the tour of the facilities was impressive, for me, the quality time spent talking about the history of FIT and the Chapter with the actives was priceless. The actives were very much engaged both in listening to what we had to say as well as sharing what campus life is like now. Stories abounded while we walked through the Jungle, aka the Botanical Garden as it is referred to today. The reaction was hilarious when we brought up the fact that the school sanctioned the showing of skin flicks in the auditorium. My how times have changed.
We returned to the housing area for the cookout and again, spent far more time talking with everyone than we had anticipated. The revelation during these discussions was that the school is NOT renewing the Greek Village housing and at this point it sounds as if everyone is on their own. Obviously, this needs to be monitored and addressed with an alternative plan.
I brought 2 copies of the Coat of Arms for everyone to sign for the new Initiates. I really hope this catches on once again and becomes a standard practice.
I think everyone came away with a renewed optimism about the direction the Chapter is headed and what they have created in the last three years. The current officers are doing a great job and special recognition should be given to the High Alpha, Beta and Rho.
Being a past Rho myself I’m biased. I think it is the only office that, if you do it effectively, you are a cornerstone of the Chapter and the Alumni Association going forward, a Rho for life. There use to be an award from National for the best communication between the active chapter and the alumni. I had always wanted to win that award. I believe National should be copied on the Beta Nus going forward. If the award still exists Ryan and the Chapter have a good chance of winning and it will only be positive press between the Chapter and National.
