Population Development & Integration

The Iloilo Provincial Population Office (PPO) rolled-out its Population and Development Integration Manual to the Population Officers and personnel of the Province of Iloilo and Passi City last June 15-16, 2023 at District 21 Hotel.

The said training aims to equip the participants with knowledge and skills on concepts of population and development, gender, value clarification, data analysis, and planning process - which are necessary in the conduct of POPDEV Integration Planning Workshop to Barangay Development Councils, in response to their mandate as Population Officers and personnel.

Ms. Pureza M. Guzman, former Field Operation Divison Chief of PPO, was invited as one of the Resource Persons to the said activity.

The roll-out training utilized a mix of structured learning exercises, workshops and topic discussions on Dialogue, Communication, Man’s Essence and Existence, Development, Philippine Population and Development Program, Barangay Development Council, Population and Development Integration Basic Concepts, and Development Planning.

It was facilitated by the focal persons of the POPDEV Program of PPO headed by Field Operations Division Chief – Ms. Janel T. Tejida.

PPO is now set to conduct POPDEV Integration Planning Workshop to the Barangay Development Councils in the province.

POPDEV is one of the core program areas of the Philippine Population and Development Program where PPO serves as its implementing arm in the Province of Iloilo.
