Contributor Requirements

Writers

All writers will write at least one (1) fanfiction of at least 5k words. You can write more if you so choose. There are no restrictions on content other than that you must hurt somebody. A fictional somebody. Minors cannot write or interact with NSFW.

New this year: in order to submit your summary to be paired with an artist, writers must have at least 1k completed. This is to discourage ghosting: people who have already started writing in earnest are less likely to ghost the event.

Artists

Artists will be paired up with writers and draw at least one (1) coloured picture based on their paired writer's fic. Depending on the ratio of artists to writers, we may require that some artists pair with multiple fics or that multiple artists are paired with a single fic. Again, minors cannot draw or interact with NSFW.

This year, we've added the option to do other forms of art:

Artist options (minimum is doing at least one of these things in the listed quantity—you can do more if you want):

• 1 clean coloured drawing OR

• 15 minute podfic OR

• 1 complex moodboard or graphic OR

• 3 simple moodboards or graphics OR

• 1 minute music composition OR

• 2 minute song cover OR

• 20 seconds animation OR

• 1 playlist of at least 10 songs OR

• 1 minute live-action video (adults only* no tiktok**) OR

• 1 clean cosplay photograph (adults only*)

*minors are NOT permitted to produce content for this event that shows their faces or bodies

**content produced for this event must be posted in an accessible place, such as AO3, twitter, & tumblr

These art requirements can be customized based on your personal project (i.e., a cosplay video that meets the clean polished cosplay requirement will not have to also meet the video length requirement, and vice versa).

During the pairing process, writers can indicate on their fic which of the above art forms they are interested in being paired up with.

Betas

Writers will seek betas as desired in the discord server. Betas are free to sign up to beta for projects as they come up if they so choose. You can be a long-term beta for a fic, a short-term beta for many fics, or both! Minors, of course, will not interact with NSFW.

Pinch Hitters

A pinch hitter is a creator that may be contacted to write or draw in place of a creator who has dropped out. You may be given a wip to work with, or you'll have to start from scratch based on the remaining partner's work. And, as always, minors will not be interacting with NSFW.
