B.M.S. College of Engineering is a private engineering college in Basavanagudi, Bangalore, India. It was started in 1946 by Bhusanayana Mukundadas Sreenivasaiah and is run by the B.M.S. Educational Trust. BMSCE is the first private sector initiative in engineering education in India.

Electrical Engineering Department, BMSCE

The Department of Electrical Engineering was established in 1946 and subsequently emerged as Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The Department has the distinction of having its graduates known worldwide for their contributions and accomplishments in varied domains. It nurtures a tradition of providing a free, at the same time an encouraging and motivating environment conducive to an effective learning experience beyond the curriculum. The focus of the department is to equip students with capabilities through a wide exposure to all aspects facilitating their development as professionals. This enables them to adapt to the societal needs and the progressive technological requirements.

Mechnical Engineering Department, BMSCE

The Department Mechanical Engineering was one of the three branches started when BMS College of Engineering, established in 1946. In the past seven decades, the department has seen lot of progress in academics, research and consultancy activities. The department offers Three PG programs namely M. Tech. in Machine Design, Manufacturing Science & Engineering, and Thermal Engineering. UG program (in 2008) and three PG programs (Machine Design and Manufacturing Science & Engineering in 2016 and Thermal Engineering in 2019) are granted academic autonomy by VTU, which enabled to have our own curriculum to enhance knowledge, skills and attitudes in students. The department was accredited in 2004 for 3 years, in 2008 for 3 years.
