The B’More Just Transition Network aims to be a safe space for collaboration on projects and issues impacting our communities. We share these community guidelines for the listserv, as a starting point with opportunity for further refinement and changes as the Network continues to grow.
By joining and using the B’More Just Transition listserv, you are committing to the following agreements:
You and/ or your organization is grounded in the collective values outlined in the Jemez Principles of Democratic Organizing, with a vision for bringing to life the Just Transition Framework.
The B’More Just Transition Network list is intended as a space to build connections and relationships, so please identify yourself. We ask that you send an introductory email to the group when you first join, sharing anything you would like the Network to know about you and any current projects you are working on. In subsequent emails, please include your name, organization, and location in your email signature so others on the list can identify you. The google group address is: bmore-just-transition@googlegroups.com
This list is an opportunity to share information and collaborate on the fields of Just Transition, Climate Justice, Environmental Justice, Public Health, Racial and Economic Equity in Baltimore. Since these are interdisciplinary and interconnected issues, we invite members to share what they feel is relevant. Some ideas for information to share in the network include: upcoming events and programs, amicus briefs and letters for sign on, job opportunities, and articles to name a few.
Please refrain from personal exchanges. If your message is directed at an individual and useful primarily to that individual, please use a direct message rather than the listserv.
This is intended as a multi-racial, and intergenerational. We ask people to acknowledge their personal and systemic privilege, and the ways it can impact others in the space, regardless of intent.
While this is a digital environment, we uplift the norm of "Take space, make space", and ask members to please be mindful of your exchanges on the listserv. We want this space to add value to all members, without overwhelming people.
If you are new to google groups, please find some information about effectively using google groups here.
For administrative issues and content mediation such as: getting added or removed from the listserv, challenges viewing content, inappropriate content, etc., please directly reach out to bmorejusttransition@gmail.com.
If you would like to add someone to the listserv, please reach out to the moderators to get them added.
In the interest of building a Network, we reserve the right to remove a member from the listserv due to a persistent failure to adhere to these agreements.
In Solidarity!
