Welcome Titan Familes!!
Insider tips for incoming students and parents.
New This Year
School Counseling
Under the new Texas law (SB 12), schools now must have written permission before a counselor can meet with your child to discuss personal topics like emotions or behavior. Please sign and return the Counseling Consent Form so our counselors can continue supporting academic success and your child’s well-being.
Learn more about the law at: Texas SB 12 Bill
Thanks for partnering with us—your consent makes a big difference!
Clubs
In alignment with Texas Senate Bill 12, Denton ISD now requires parent or guardian consent before students can join any campus club. This helps ensure families are fully informed about the organizations and activities their child chooses to participate in.

Thanks for supporting our Titans as they get involved this year! 💙⚔️
Beginning of School Year
6th Grade Titan Camp, Friday, 8/8/25 (9:00-12:00pm)
Titan camp is time for sixth graders to feel more comfortable and excited about beginning middle school. They will get to meet their classmates, teachers, and walk their schedules. Lunch will be provided. Please drop off and pick up at the front of the school. All sixth graders are encouraged to attend! Parents are also welcome!
Schedules
Students will receive a copy of their schedule at Titan Camp, but it can also be found in Home Access Center. Schedules may change over the next few days as we make sure students are enrolled in the correct classes. Students will also receive a copy of their schedule on the first day of school.
First Day of School, Tuesday, 8/12/25
The building opens at 7:45, and the tardy bell rings at 8:15. If your child would like breakfast, they may go to the cafeteria and eat breakfast. If they are not eating breakfast, or when they are done, they will go to the sixth grade hallway. Students are dismissed at 3:35 and will either go to the bus lane or may be picked up at any door. If they are picked up, please have a plan of where your child should meet you. If you have any questions, now or throughout the year, please don’t hesitate to ask. We are looking forward to a fantastic year in 6th grade!
Open House, Monday, August 18 @ 6PM
Our Open House is a relaxed, evening event where parents (and students) come together to meet their teachers and get familiar with the school. Families typically follow the student's class schedule, spending 5–15 minutes in each classroom while teachers share class expectations, schedules, and communication plans. It’s a great chance to ask questions, see the learning environment, and start building a partnership with your child’s educators early in the school year.
