What our days look like (Daily schedule example)

Our day at BMK childcare starts with the morning session group arriving at 7am. With a warm welcome children are prompted to take their shoes and other outerwear such as jackets off.

Children will then go to their age assigned room.

Once all attendees are present and settled all personal hygiene routine taken place, children will be then taken to breakfast.

After breakfast comes carpet time. Which includes nursery rhyming, music, reading our book of the day, and varying small group development games.

Next attendees will return to their assigned rooms for free play time. We then continue on to our different morning activities based on age group.

Following, this is our curriculum learning time, based on the GELDS 5 domains system, (more about this on our mission page) and working towards each age group's daily challenge.

Next is our first snack time of the day; of which are a rotation of healthy snacks including fresh fruits and veggies along with milk or juice.

As the day starts to get warmer, we put on our shoes and jackets and head out for our morning outdoor time. Where we check on our plants, conduct outdoor investigations, and have play time on our outdoor equipment.

Upon our return inside, we have our next group daily activity. Following this is our calming music time with the intent of developing self regulation per adherence to social and emotional development standards.

Once everyone is relaxed and settled, we have our lunch time. 

Children will then have down/nap time.

After nap time is our afternoon outdoor time.

For the remainder of the day, we continue to cycle through a number of learning and developmental activities, targeting an essential domain each day.

Lastly, parents/guardians arrive to sign out their children!
