Much excitement when the riding gear arrived. A photo shoot with available riders was organised with the results below. Group shots to follow when the team assembles. The riding gear was acquired through Outdoor Max https://www.odmax.com/, this is the second time we have used them, good quality, and good service cannot be beaten.
Bikes
Like the team members the bikes represent a varity of ages and types..... to be exact we have....
The oldest bro is more than happy with his bike, we trust that he has brought spare brake pads!! Riding a Genesis Datum 20, bought in 2021 equiped with Shimano 105.
The middle bro's trusty warhorse is a Specialized Tricross - bought in 2007, subsequent modifications include the use of JimBob special wheels, and conversion to a Shimano Tiagra 2 * 10 drive train.
The youngest bro has just bought his 3 year old Ridley Kanzo Speed, moving to 28mm tyres has been a revelation in ride comfort.
And the youngest team member rides a Felt FR Advanced Ultegra Di2 8150 with 11/30T cassette and BP-L05A-RF brake pads. (and given the speed he rides he needs good pads!!).
and finally for the Tour Director we have...
Red Raleigh 3 speed Chopper with go faster stripes and spokey dokeys.!!!! We are all very jealous!!
Electronics
In this modern world the electronic gadgets used are almost as important as the bikes and their riders, crucially they give us a surfit of numbers that we can spend hours debating each night.
We are carrying a significant number of garmin devices, (Garmin Official Site | United Kingdom) including but not limited to :-
Multiple Explorer 2's
An Edge 1040
Multiple RearVue's
Multiple HRM's
A Fenx 6
A Forerunner 265s
Other electronics include lights from Exposure Joystick Mk15 producing 1,100 lumens, various Moons; and a Polar HRM.
To ensure that we have sufficient photos and video's to bore everybody to tears after the event we have a GoPro Hero 4 session and Dji mini pro drone to complete the collection.
