This workshop is inspired by the GEAR log cabin workshops and will be a week long workshop/retreat focusing on several topics on mapping class groups of infinite-type surfaces (see below).

The location is the End of the Road Lodge in Young, AZ -- Tonto National Forest.

For full consideration, the deadline to apply is September 15,  2023. Participation is expected in person and for the duration of the entire week. Preference will be given to graduate students and postdocs. 

In this workshop we will study infinite-type surfaces and their mapping class groups from several perspectives. Each participant will be asked to either give a lecture or run a problem session.
