How We Research
We compare products from their published specs and features; the verdicts below are our independent editorial opinions.
If you want one pair of headphones that handles noise cancelling, calls and marathon battery life on their own, choose bmani Hybrid Active Noise; if you need a tiny adapter that upgrades the Bluetooth audio of the devices you already own — phone, PC, PS5, Switch — choose Questyle QCC Dongle Pro2.
• bmani Hybrid Active Noise — biggest strength: a complete, self-contained listening package: 4-stage hybrid ANC rated to cut up to 95% of ambient noise (45dB max reduction), 120 hours of playback, and a 6-mic ENC array for calls.
• bmani Hybrid Active Noise — biggest trade-off: it's an over-ear headphone at 270 g with button/touch controls and a 3-hour charge time, so it's bulkier and slower to top up than a dongle you simply leave plugged in.
• Questyle QCC Dongle Pro2 — biggest strength: it turns almost any USB-C device into a high-quality Bluetooth transmitter with LDAC, aptX Lossless, aptX Adaptive, LHDC, LE Audio and Auracast support, plus Bluetooth 6.1 and MFi certification for iPhone/iPad.
• Questyle QCC Dongle Pro2 — biggest trade-off: it makes no sound by itself. It only works with Bluetooth headphones or speakers you already own, needs the Questyle App for setup on Windows/Mac/consoles, and is 2.2 g of pure dependency.
• Who each is for: bmani is for the person who wants one box that solves commuting, flights and workouts; the Questyle is for the person who already loves their headphones and wants better wireless audio from every screen in the house.
The bmani Hybrid Active Noise is the "one purchase, everything handled" option. Its 4-layer hybrid ANC architecture uses four high-sensitivity microphones with an ANC chip that processes noise in about 2ms, and bmani rates the system to block up to 95% of distractions with a maximum reduction of 45dB. In practical terms, that's the kind of design built for a crowded subway car, a jet cabin, or a noisy café — the places where you want the world to drop away with a light press of a button.
Battery is the headline number here: up to 120 hours of listening on a single charge, plus a 10-minute fast charge that gives you up to 3 hours of playback. A full charge takes about 3 hours, and the indicator stays solid red when it's done. For multi-day travel or a week of commutes without hunting for a cable, that's genuinely generous. Comfort details matter at this size too — a pressure-relieving headband and slow-rebound memory foam cushions spread the weight, which is what you want from a 270 g over-ear pair.
Buy it if you want one product that covers noise cancelling, calls, spatial audio and extreme battery life without buying anything else. Skip it if you already own headphones you love and only need a better wireless link, or if you want the smallest possible travel kit — this is a full-size over-ear with a 5-year manufacturer warranty and a standard package including a cable, USB-C charging cable and manual.
Questyle QCC Dongle Pro2: Who It's For
The Questyle QCC Dongle Pro2 is a different species of product entirely: a USB-C Bluetooth audio adapter, 2.2 g, roughly an inch long in gunmetal gray. It doesn't play anything. What it does is replace the Bluetooth radio in whatever you plug it into — and that's the whole point.
Codec support is the reason to care. The Dongle Pro2 handles LDAC, LE Audio, LHDC, aptX Lossless, aptX Adaptive, aptX HD, aptX and SBC, matching the best format your headphones and source can agree on. If you've ever watched a movie on a PC and gotten that hollow, slightly delayed Bluetooth sound, this is the fix: a proper codec chain with lower latency and more detail, with LED lights showing the working status. Bluetooth 6.1 underpins it all for better stability, lower latency and improved power efficiency, and Questyle specifically calls out holding a strong signal in interference-heavy environments.
Gaming is the second pillar. aptX Adaptive drives latency down toward a wired-like feel on compatible headphones, and LE Audio adds future-facing low-latency capability plus high-quality voice uplink for team chat. Auracast is the third: one-to-many broadcasting so you can share a movie or music with multiple compatible devices — useful for travel and family entertainment without blasting a room. MFi certification means clean, driver-free iPhone and iPad compatibility over USB-C, with the power-consumption and integration standards that implies.
There are real caveats. You must use the Questyle App: pair the dongle to your headphones through the app first, then plug it into the console or computer. Windows 10 (1803+), macOS, iOS and Android 5.1+ are supported without extra drivers, but the app-first workflow is non-negotiable, and low-latency performance depends on your headphones supporting the same codecs. It's one unit, backed by a 12-month warranty.
Buy it if you own good Bluetooth headphones or speakers and want them to sound better and respond faster on a phone, laptop, PS5 or Switch. Skip it if you need actual sound — this is an accessory, not a listening device.

In my opinion, these two barely compete — they solve opposite problems, and the right answer depends on what you already own. If you don't have a decent pair of wireless headphones and you want noise cancelling, long battery and head-tracked spatial audio in one purchase, I'd buy the bmani Hybrid Active Noise. If you already love your headphones and your complaint is about your phone, laptop or console rather than the headphones themselves, I'd buy the Questyle QCC Dongle Pro2 — it's the cheaper-feeling upgrade in spirit because it improves everything you plug it into. Buy the bmani for the sound; buy the Questyle for the connection.
No. It produces no audio on its own. It's a USB-C Bluetooth transmitter that improves the wireless link between your device and headphones or speakers you already own. Noise cancelling has to come from the headphones themselves.
Yes. It includes a 3.5mm jack alongside Bluetooth 6.0 wireless, and the package includes a cable, a USB-C charging cable and a user manual.
The Questyle QCC Dongle Pro2 is built for it — aptX Adaptive and LE Audio low-latency support, provided your headphones support the same codecs. The bmani lists 35ms audio latency, which is fine for video but not a dedicated gaming chain.
