Fall 2025 Class Work
A class dedicated to learning more about how to properly render humans and clothing in order to accurately portray designs. Watercolor as the medium, with additional mediums experimented with (colored pencil, marker).
I was able to work on my confidence in proportions, patterns, and folds in particular, amongst many other skills, and provided freedom of design choices while working on specific techniques.
Part 1 of a 2 class series where we study and build modern men's suits. In the fall, we focus solely on building the suit jacket. The pictures above are snapshots of my process throughout the semester, including final fit images taken in December! In the following spring semester, I'll finish the jacket hem and make any last alterations needed before building a matching vest and trouser. My suit build is inspired by the look of 80s suits.

My work on The Rink mostly focused on distressing the clothes the wreckers/construction workers were wearing, in order to make them look more realistic to their profession. I also assisted in painting the roller skates from pure bright white to looking vintage and beat up, as well as in creating patches for the back of some jackets.
I got to work with a variety of material for this production, including transparent and opaque paints, Preval spray, and distressing tools such as sandpaper.
