Pregnant or breastfeeding women: It is not recommended to receive Botox injections during pregnancy or while breastfeeding, as the effects on the developing fetus or infant are unknown.
People with certain medical conditions: A neuromuscular condition like ALS or myasthenia gravis could prevent you from receiving Botox.
People with allergies to Botox: You shouldn't have Botox if you have a reaction to any of the components in it.
People taking certain medications: Blood thinners, for example, may increase the chance of bruising or bleeding at the injection site. Your doctor might advise that you stop taking these medications before getting Botox injections if you are currently taking them.
