In June 2024, we served on the YLAI Network selection committee for the upcoming 2025 YLAI Fellowship. Contributing to the selection process for this prestigious program was an incredible opportunity, and we are excited to witness the positive impact the new cohort of fellows will have on their communities and industries.
In 2023, Sharine Joseph, founder of Blu Media Marketing, was selected for the prestigious Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative (YLAI) Fellowship. Launched by the U.S. Department of State in collaboration with IREX, the YLAI Fellowship is designed to empower emerging entrepreneurs and business leaders across Latin America, the Caribbean, and Canada. The program focuses on helping participants develop their leadership skills, grow their businesses, and create lasting ties with U.S. counterparts.
Through this fellowship, Sharine had the opportunity to engage in professional development activities, network with fellow entrepreneurs, and participate in exchanges aimed at fostering regional economic growth and collaboration.
In 2023, Blu Media Marketing had the privilege of facilitating an insightful one-day training workshop for WUSC Caribbean (Saint Lucia), focusing on empowering participants, primarily women producers, to tap into the potential of social media for their agribusiness endeavors. Our founder, Sharine Joseph, shared her expertise on how to effectively maximize social media platforms to establish a strong online presence and brand identity. During the workshop, participants actively engaged by setting up their own social media accounts and received valuable insights into utilizing these platforms. With newfound knowledge, these ambitious entrepreneurs are now equipped to expand their customer reach and increase their income using just their phones. We are proud to have played a role in supporting these talented individuals on their journey toward success.
In 2023, Blu Media Marketing proudly partnered with the Saint Lucia ConnectEd program, providing hands-on training in social media and content creation to young interns. This initiative was made possible through collaborations with World Education, USAID, and SALCC Math Camp St. Lucia. Through this program, we helped to equip young talents with the skills needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
In 2023, Blu Media Marketing proudly collaborated with Canadian Luxury clothing brand NGU Clothing to empower a young entrepreneur with the resources needed to launch her business. We were thrilled to announce that Saint's Products, a registered skincare business owned by the talented Narjie, officially began operations. Our support didn’t end there; we committed to providing ongoing mentorship and marketing assistance to ensure this startup thrived.
In November 2023, Blu Media Marketing partnered with SLUDTERA Inc. for Global Entrepreneurship Week - St. Lucia, as part of the Global Entrepreneurship Network. We hosted an informative session on "Digital Tools for Startups," designed to equip entrepreneurs with essential resources and strategies to enhance their digital presence and streamline their operations. This collaboration underscores our commitment to supporting local startups and fostering innovation in the entrepreneurial community.
