The idea is simple: Your bomb could detonate at any second, and if you're not there to reset its timer, then you'll get blown up and lose all of your in-game currency. Therefore, the only way to play the game safely is to never leave your computer unattended. Ever. If you stand up to use the bathroom or something, you run the risk of letting your bomb denotate.

The longer you can keep your bomb alive, the more Bōllar you'll earn on cashout, which then carries over to future runs and can be spent to multiply your earnings. Multipliers are useful when you're feeling confident that you can protect the bomb for long periods of time. If you have a 2x multiplier, turning the earnings of 1 hour into 2 is a lot worse than turning 3 into 6. The clicker minigame is an alternate use for the Bōllar you earn. Clicks you accumulate are kept forever, while Bollar can be spent and lost, so clicks can be interpreted as the real goal of the game.
