We carry out civic monitoring of the MAPA – Marine Adriatic Parks project, funded by the Interreg Italy–Croatia Programme. Our goal is to protect marine biodiversity and promote sustainable use of the Adriatic Sea.
We focus on the role of AGRRA, the Croatian project partner, by analyzing environmental data, talking to institutions, and working with the local community. We look at how the project affects water quality, marine life, fishing, and tourism.
We work with universities, fishermen, tourism workers, guides, and citizens, using interviews, surveys, fieldwork, and coastal mapping. Through social media, reports, and videos, we share what we learn and encourage people to take action to protect the Adriatic—because too little of our sea is protected, and youth voices matter.
