This Privacy Policy applies to the Bluetooth Scanner: Find & Pair mobile application (referred to as the “Application”), developed by Skywork Technologies (referred to as the “Service Provider”).
The Application is available as a free service supported by advertisements, with an optional paid subscription. It is provided on an “AS IS” basis.
The Application does not require you to create an account or directly provide your name, email address, contacts or precise location.
The Application and its third-party service providers may automatically collect certain technical information, including:
Your device’s Internet Protocol address
Device type, operating-system version and language
Advertising identifiers and app-instance identifiers
App interactions, session information and features used
Crash reports, diagnostics and performance information
Subscription status and purchase-related identifiers
This information may be used to operate the Application, display advertisements, manage subscriptions, diagnose technical problems, prevent fraud and improve the Application’s performance and user experience.
Information about the Bluetooth devices you scan, pair or locate is processed on your device to provide the Application’s features and is not used for the purposes described above.
The Application requests access to your device’s Bluetooth features so it can discover, display, pair and help you locate nearby Bluetooth devices.
Depending on your Android version, the Application may request the following permissions:
Nearby devices (Bluetooth scan) – to discover nearby Bluetooth and Bluetooth Low Energy devices
Nearby devices (Bluetooth connect) – to view paired devices, read device details and pair or unpair devices
Bluetooth and Bluetooth admin (Android 11 and lower) – to turn on Bluetooth discovery and manage pairing
Location (Android 11 and lower only) – required by Android on these versions before an app can scan for Bluetooth devices
On Android 12 and higher, the Application declares that Bluetooth scan results are not used to derive your physical location.
On Android 11 and lower, location permission is requested only because Android requires it for Bluetooth scanning. The Application does not use GPS, does not record your location and does not send your location to the Service Provider.
When you use the Application’s scanning, pairing, paired-devices and device-finder features, the Application may read the following information about nearby or paired Bluetooth devices:
Device name, as broadcast by the device
Bluetooth hardware (MAC) address
Signal strength (RSSI)
Device type, class and supported service identifiers (UUIDs)
Pairing and connection status
This information may be used to:
Display a list of nearby and paired Bluetooth devices
Show signal strength and device details
Estimate the approximate distance to a device to help you find it
Pair or unpair a device at your request
Show a selected device on a home-screen widget
Bluetooth device information is processed on your device. The Service Provider does not upload Bluetooth device names, addresses or scan results to its own servers, and does not use them for advertising.
Distance estimates are calculated from signal strength and are approximate. Walls, obstacles, interference and device hardware can affect accuracy.
The Application may also display basic information about your own phone, such as its brand, model and Android version. This information is read from your device and shown only within the Application.
The Application may store limited information on your device, including:
Your language preference and onboarding status
The name and Bluetooth address of a device you choose to add to a home-screen widget
Your subscription status, so premium features and ad-free access work correctly
Unless a feature clearly indicates otherwise, this information is stored locally on your device. Removing a widget, clearing the Application’s storage or uninstalling it may remove this information, subject to your device’s backup settings.
The free version of the Application may display advertisements through Google AdMob.
Advertising providers may process information such as:
Advertising identifiers
IP address
Device and operating-system information
General app interactions
Ad impressions, clicks and performance information
Approximate location inferred from an IP address
Where required by law, such as in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the Application uses Google’s consent tools to ask for your consent before personalized advertising is shown. You may be able to change your choices through the Application or your device settings.
Advertising information is processed according to the policies and consent settings provided by the relevant advertising service. You may be able to limit personalized advertising through your Android device or Google account settings.
Bluetooth device information is not intentionally shared with advertising providers for ad targeting.
The Application may offer optional subscriptions, such as a weekly subscription with a free trial, to remove advertisements and unlock premium features.
Payments are processed by Google Play. The Service Provider does not receive or store your complete payment-card or banking information.
The Service Provider may receive limited purchase information required to provide premium access, including:
Product or subscription identifier
Purchase token or transaction identifier
Subscription status
Trial, renewal, cancellation or expiration status
Country or region associated with the transaction
Subscriptions can be managed or cancelled through your Google Play account.
If you contact the Service Provider through the Application’s support feature, your device’s email application will open with a pre-filled message. Your email address, message and any information you choose to include are sent to the Service Provider only if you send the email.
This information is used only to respond to your request and is not used for advertising.
The Application may use third-party services that process information under their own terms and privacy policies, including:
These providers may process device information, identifiers, advertising information, purchase information, diagnostics and app-usage information as necessary to provide their services.
The Service Provider does not sell or rent your personal information.
Information may be shared only:
With service providers that operate advertising, billing, analytics, configuration or crash-reporting functionality
When required by law, regulation, court order or legal process
To protect the rights, property or safety of users, the Service Provider or others
To detect, investigate or prevent fraud, abuse or security incidents
As part of a merger, acquisition or transfer of the Application, subject to appropriate privacy protections
Bluetooth device names, addresses and scan results are not shared with third parties by the Service Provider, unless disclosure is otherwise required by law.
Bluetooth scan results are kept in memory while you use the relevant feature and are not permanently saved by the Application, except for a device you choose to add to a home-screen widget.
Preferences and other app data stored locally remain on your device until you delete them, clear the Application’s storage or uninstall the Application.
Technical, advertising, diagnostic and purchase-related information may be retained by third-party providers according to their respective privacy policies and legal requirements.
Because the Application does not require an account, the Service Provider may not be able to identify or remotely delete information stored exclusively on your device.
You may:
Deny or revoke Nearby devices, Bluetooth or location permissions through your Android settings
Turn Bluetooth off at any time
Unpair devices through the Application or your Android Bluetooth settings
Remove home-screen widgets
Clear the Application’s local storage
Limit personalized advertising through your device, Google account or the Application’s consent options
Cancel your subscription through Google Play
Stop further information collection associated with your use of the Application by uninstalling it
Contact the Service Provider regarding privacy questions or applicable data-rights requests
Disabling Bluetooth or the related permissions may prevent scanning, pairing, device-finder and widget features from functioning.
Depending on your location, you may have additional rights concerning access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection to the processing of your personal information.
The Application is not directed to children under the age of 13, and the Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a child has provided personal information through the Application, contact the Service Provider so the matter can be investigated and appropriate action taken.
The Service Provider uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information handled through the Application.
Pairing is performed using Android’s built-in Bluetooth pairing system. Locally stored information is also subject to your device’s security, backup and storage settings.
You should pair only with devices you recognize and trust. No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
The Application provides general information to help you discover, pair and locate Bluetooth devices.
Distance and signal-strength readings are estimates and may be affected by the environment, obstacles, interference, battery level and the hardware of each device. A device can be found only while it is powered on, within Bluetooth range and broadcasting a signal.
The Application is not affiliated with the manufacturers of the devices it detects, and it cannot guarantee that a lost device will be found. You should not rely solely on the Application in safety-critical situations.
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes to the Application, its services or applicable legal requirements.
Any revised policy will be published on this page with an updated effective date. You are encouraged to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
This Privacy Policy is effective as of October 15, 2026.
