Echoes of Creation ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Bluetooth Midi Recorder mobile application ("App"). This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information while using our App.

Summary: The app is 100% offline. No data leaves your device.

1. Information The App Collects

a. Camera and Microphone Data

The App may request access to your device’s camera and microphone to capture videos and audio while recording music videos. However, the use of these permissions is optional, and you can still use the App to record MIDI data only without granting camera or microphone permissions.

b. Location Data

The App may request location permission solely for the purpose of scanning for Bluetooth devices. The location permission is only required when starting a scan and is not mandatory for the app's core functionality. If you decline location access, you will still be able to use other functionalities of the App that do not involve Bluetooth scanning.

The App doesn't access at all the location coordinates (like GPS data), but Android considers that knowing the names of nearby Bluetooth devices is a form of location data.

c. MIDI and Media Files

The App records MIDI files (.mid) and video files (.mp4) in your device's private app storage. These files are not shared with any third-party services or uploaded to the cloud. They are automatically deleted when the App is uninstalled.

2. How We Use Your Data

• Bluetooth Scanning: Location permission is used strictly for discovering nearby Bluetooth devices for connecting MIDI instruments.

• Recording Data: Camera, microphone, and MIDI data are used locally to allow users to create music videos and store them privately on their device.

3. How We Protect Your Data

All media files created by the App are stored in the App’s private storage, ensuring they are not accessible by other apps or shared with third parties. Upon uninstallation, all files are automatically deleted from your device.

No data is collected. No analytics, no crash report. Maximum privacy. If you want to provide bug reports, contact us by email.

4. Your Choices

• Permissions: You can choose not to grant camera, microphone, or location permissions. If you choose not to grant location permission, you will not be able to scan for Bluetooth devices, but you can still use the App to record MIDI data manually.

• Data Access and Retention: All recorded files are stored locally on your device and are automatically deleted when you uninstall the App. We do not retain any personal or media data on our servers.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected here, and we encourage you to review this policy periodically.
