Welcome to the home of Blue Tides Masters Swimming!

We are part of the Illinois Masters Swimming Association (ILMSA) under the guidance of United States Masters Swimming (USMS). The Blue Tides began in 2009 in the Joliet Park District and has grown to over 75 active members between three locations: the Inwood Athletic Club, the Avery YMCA, and the Shorewood YMCA.

Masters Swimming is for anyone 18 years or older who enjoy swimming laps for fitness or competition. Our members range from those who consider themselves beginners to those with college level swimming experience and everything in between. Many of our members compete in triathlons or open water competitions as well as the pool. The highlight of our year is the annual ILMSA State Meet, where we have come in as high as 2nd out of almost 50 teams across the state.
