Blue Ridge Christian Academy provides a Christ-Centered, biblically integrated quality education challenging every student equipped with the truth to a life of commitment to Christ (2 Timothy 2:24-25) towards a Godly society (Matthew 28:18-20).
Knowledge comes from God. Man, though capable of wisdom and though proudly lifted by reason of what he is capable of, actually knows nothing of himself. It is in God that he lives and moves and has his being.
The Bible is definitely the basis of all reality. The school as the arm of the church is responsible for establishing standards that will make it possible to fulfill Christ’s command to His children (Matthew 28:19-20).
Each student being created in the image of God (Genesis 1:27) is of supreme worth and should be respected. Students vary as to their God given and acquired capabilities and these differences are taken into consideration in the educational process.
To train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it (Proverbs 22:6).
To encourage each student to put his trust in Christ and grow toward fullness and maturity in Him (Proverbs 3:5-6).
To provide opportunities for training in Christian character for effective participation in the family and society.
To enrich the life of every student by providing activities that will lead to his spiritual, moral, social, intellectual, physical, and aesthetic development (Luke 2:52).
This school was born because of a need. As Christian parents, it burdened Rev. & Mrs. Abraham Vallega to have a school where Biblical training is taught. An institution that will not only quench the thirst for knowledge of this world but be able to reach the heart as well.
So, in 1982 they started the school by faith. No funding whatsoever. The Lord gave the provision slowly. In the first year, the school was named Christian Learning Center for it was only offered to beginners. There were seven (7) pupils around the neighborhood including Pastor & Mrs. Vallega's son. With extremely limited facilities and materials enrolment increased. From what we have always been hearing from Pastor Sims, our Missionary, he said, “If this is of God it will prosper, but if it's not it will crumble”.
The school was established legally in 1995. From Christian Learning Center it became Blue Ridge Christian Academy. We had only three (3) students on our first elementary graduation. The following year Eugene De Villa, our elementary graduate of 2001-2002 topped the entrance exam at Philippine Science High School. Other elementary graduates were accepted at Quezon City Science High School. So far, we have had three high school graduates who were admitted at UP Diliman. We have high school graduates who passed college entrances at Mapua, UST, La Salle, and at neighboring colleges and universities.
Starting school year 2023-2024 our goal is to move on to a much higher level of education with quality Christian teachers and students learning from the word of God.
