Blueprints Learning Center is a Healthy Kids Environment. We take our health and illness policy seriously and appreciate parent’s cooperation in contributing to a healthy and safe environment for all kids. If your child becomes sick in our care, we will contact you and request arrangements be made for your child (and all siblings) be picked up within an hour. To protect all children in our program, we expect notification if your child has been exposed to any contagious illness. Sanitation and cleanliness are a priority in our program, and we will provide a clean and healthy environment.

If your child becomes sick in our care, we will contact you and request arrangements be made for your child (and all siblings) be picked up within an hour. Doctors Note: If a child is seen by a doctor for anything other than a well-child visit, Blueprints requires a doctor’s note stating child is cleared for normal activity in our program.
Fever: If a child has a temperature of 100.4 degrees or higher they may not attend daycare. Child can return to our program after they are fever free for 24 hours, unaided by medication.
Corona Virus: Children showing more than one symptom of corona Virus (fever, cough, chills, shortness of breath, muscle/body aches, sore throat, congestion/runny nose) may be asked to receive a doctor’s note before returning to the program.
Vomiting/Diarrhea: Children must stay home until illness has subsided for 24 hours. If child is sick at any point throughout our day, we ask for you to arrange for your child to be picked up within an hour. If your child has more than one loose stool within the same hour – we consider the child sick and ask for the child to be picked up.
Conjunctivitis: Child may return to Blueprints after 24 hours of the first dose of Medication with a doctor’s note.
Head Lice: Child must be nit and egg free upon arrival before returning to our program. A staff member will check your child’s hair to confirm they are nit/egg free when you arrive.
Antibiotics: A child who has been on antibiotics for 24 hours they may return to our program with a doctor’s note. If child requires more than two doses of antibiotics throughout the day – we will be happy to administer the needed dose with a filled-out medication administration form. If your child is new to a medication, we require the first dose to be administered at home.
Hand, Foot, and Mouth – Child must be fever free for at least 24 hours, sores on body must not continue to spread within 24 hours and be healing over with no puss or discharge. All sores located in mouth must be fully healed for child to return to the program.
Allergies: If child is allergic to anything they would encounter throughout our day, we require a doctor’s note to attend. If the allergen is served in our program, we ask you to provide an alternative.
We understand that illnesses are bound to happen, especially in a program where children love to share. If we feel your child is not well enough to be an active member in our program, we will ask for your child to be picked up within an hour. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation with keeping this a healthy environment.
