Hello, my name is Rosie Meier, and I have lived in Comfort since 2000, my husband Chase grew up in here and we are raising our three wonderful daughters Jaci, Ryliee and Abbie in our wonderful hometown. As a young girl, three things I had always wanted to be was a wife, mother and teacher, I grew up practicing martial arts, riding horses, and have always had a love for yoga that was passed down to me from my beloved parents and grandfather. I remember as a child having conversations with my father while he was in a headstand, and my mother looking fierce in a Warrior 2 pose. As I grew so do did my love for yoga, as an young adult, it was for the physical side of the practice. As an adult and mother, I have also passed my love of yoga to my own daughters, but my practice has become so much more about the spiritual and mental aspects of the practice. I have worked in education for the last 9 years, I have always had a passion for teaching, before I entered working in education I worked in different part of the medical field, massage and physical therapy, working with patients battling cancer, and helping people through being an optician. I worked at St. Boniface School and Church as a teacher, and as a children's Sunday school teacher. I recently left my beloved job working in the special education department at the local middle school, to help to spread my love for the physical, mental, and spiritual yoga practice with my wonderful community. I cant wait to make everyday a Blue Heron Day!!

Hello! My name is Sally Hannay, but around the Blue Heron Yoga Studio, I also answer to Mom. I’m so proud of my daughter, Rosie, for pursuing her passion and dedication to the yoga practice and living her dream of teaching yoga here in Comfort. I’m also proud to say that I introduced Rosie to this wonderful and sustaining practice, and even prouder to be joining the teaching team at Blue Heron. I’ve been practicing yoga for 35 years—oh my! My father was the first to introduce me to yoga as a meditation practice, and then in Austin, in the 1980s, I began a regular asana practice with Inyengar style yoga. I found Ashtanga yoga and a home practice in the 90s, and settled in with Vinyasa—the perfect combo, after we moved to Comfort in 2001. I’ve had a daily home practice for about 15 years, and wonderful and inspiring teachers like Stephanie Snyder Yoga and Jason Crandell Yoga And now, having completed a 200 hour teacher training, I’m ready to share my passion and dedication too. In yoga teachings, Dharma is defined as the path one should follow to be of service in the world, and I don’t think my Dharma has ever been clearer to me. Hope to see you on the mat very soon!
