My mom taught me how to sew in my youth and handed down her old Bernina sewing machine. The kids and I started crafting fabric projects on the weekends, thus the brand Blue Eyed Saturday was born. We would make bow ties, dresses, and scrunchies. Once the COVID-19 pandemic hit, we quickly began making cloth masks for essential workers. To date, we have crafted over 500 masks for our community. With the possibility of schools opening with students wearing masks, we want to help the community get local, personalized masks. So over the next few weeks, we will be crafting personalized masks.
