• Leaders need to complete training and orientation at summer camp.

• Leadership roles will be observed at summer camp and Mr. Sebastian can or will make any adjustments if needed at the end of summer camp with a student and parent agreement form.

• There will be another Leadership Audition for January – May 2024

Leadership Expectations 

HERD PRIDE in the Blue & Gold Regiment Leadership Team 


HONOR - We will honor the school rules and follow the etiquette of professional performance. We will lead by example. We will attend meetings, rehearsals, and performance events.  


EFFORT - Put effort in practicing so we can be an example performer and help with set-up, help with clean-up. 


RESPECT - We will respect each other, our staff, parents, and guests.  We will follow the class cell phone policy, follow our classroom rules, and help with a positive environment.  


DETERMINATION - We will be determined to focus and help others follow our HERD Pride pillars.  We will help continue the tradition of supporting the “Competition Plan.”


About  our leadership program 

Our  B&GR Leadership will be facing great challenges navigating through out the school year with changes to school formats, unknowns, and how the event procedures will change during this unprecedented times.  We are in search of leaders that will help encourage students to stay motivated to strengthen their musicianship and/or performance skills in superior level. 

Our regiment goal is to keep working on performance qualities, musicianship, and continue to strive to be the best performer as an individual and as a ensemble while we go through the phases of re-opening our state and follow the school protocols.  We will work diligently towards performance repertoire and be ready to perform. 

The quality pillars we want our leadership to hold are: 

1. Support the program vision

2. Organization & Communication 

3. Sectionals & Fall Music Memorization 

4. Accomplish class task 

5. Show care, kindness, humble, and respect.  

6. Be available to help one hour prior and one hour after an event or rehearsal for set-up /clean-up when we are allowed  to have events.  

7. Promote The Band Ap, Website, Google Classroom, Email, and Website for communication tools

8. The leadership team protects the program from negativity and assist the Music Director with solving classroom problems for a positive environment.
