The Student Blue Plan, offered to Elon students through Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina, is designed to meet the needs of students who have no insurance or who have inadequate insurance coverage for emergencies in the Guilford/Alamance County area. The plan is also a great option for students and families who want to provide additional medical coverage for the student while they are enrolled at Elon.

Developed by Carollo to help our municipal service providers and private sector clients proactively manage their water and wastewater systems, Blue Plan-it makes planning for the future dynamic, transparent, accessible, and defensible. Blue Plan-it technical consulting and engineering services are integrated with a user-friendly platform that combines the principles of data management, data analytics, data integration, and data visualization.

Goals: The main goals of the training plan were to keep up some interesting training, finally break 19:00 in the 5K, and get under 40:00 in the 10K (previous PR of 41:XX was set during a half in 2019).

The Plan: Four phases of four weeks, and my goal was to maintain volume around 60 km (37 miles) per week, running five or six days per week. Long runs no longer than 90 minutes (as per Daniels). The plan itself is quite straightforward: you keep the same two workouts per week for each phase, and then fill-in the mileage. The quality work is always around 3-4 km, depending on the desired intensity.

Phase III saw the return of the dreaded 4x4 min H, but I felt much more prepared than previously. There were some tough weeks, and it started to get darker, and colder, and rainier, but the plan kept going. At this point the monotony of doing the same workouts for four weeks started to get me down, but I vowed to get through it.

Phase IV seems like less work, and the threshold running was easier, the hard repetitions shorter. Because of stormy weather and work I took a break from workouts for a week after ending Phase III, and then slowly eased back into it, doing only one workout the first week, then two the second week. Because I had some solo time-trials planned I extended Phase IV, throwing in workouts and scaling back as needed, to about 7 weeks.

You may be eligible for a discount if you were enrolled in commercial group or individual coverage with a Blue Cross and Blue Shield plan issued in Illinois, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, or Texas and that coverage was within one year of your BCBSMT Medicare Supplement policy becoming effective. This applies to BCBSMT Medicare Supplement policies issued with an effective date on or after May 1, 2023.

Beginning April 1, 2022, Blue Medicare Supplement Plan G (standard and high deductible) will have plus options. Plan G Plus plans will have the same medical coverage as their regular versions. They will also have additional benefits and programs included so members can get more out of their Blue Medicare Supplement Insurance Plan. Additional benefits and programs include dental, vision, hearing, and fitness.

The IU Blue Retiree Plan is a group medical plan designed specifically for IU Retirees and spouses age 65 and older who are enrolled in Original Medicare (Parts A and B). Original Medicare pays for some, but not all, of the cost for covered healthcare services and supplies. The IU Blue Retiree Plan can help pay some of the remaining costs such as copays, coinsurance, and deductibles, and offers coverage for services that are not covered by Medicare, including medical care received overseas. There is also a wellness benefit that includes limited coverage for dental and hearing.

Once your department finalizes your separation date, IU Human Resources will mail health plan information and enrollment forms to your home address. The university allows Retirees 60 days from the date of retirement to enroll in an IU medical plan.

Eligible dependents include the individuals listed below, if they are eligible and covered by the Retiree's IU-sponsored health plan at the time of separation from the university (or when COBRA eligibility ends).
