In the current humanitarian crisis in Gaza, access to clean water has become a critical challenge due to the collapse of infrastructure and severe shortages in supply. Drilling wells is no longer a luxury but an urgent necessity to provide a reliable and sustainable source of water, especially for overcrowded camps and displaced communities. Wells can supply water for essential daily needs such as drinking, cooking, and hygiene, helping to reduce the spread of waterborne diseases and improve overall public health conditions. They also decrease reliance on costly and inconsistent water trucking, giving communities greater independence and resilience.
As part of our ongoing efforts, the Blue Filter team is currently working on drilling wells to support affected communities and improve access to safe water. Currently, the cost of drilling a single well exceeds $30,000, reflecting the significant resources required to establish sustainable water solutions in such challenging conditions.
In such a fragile context, investing in well drilling is not only about water access—it is about saving lives, preserving dignity, and creating a foundation for stability in the face of ongoing crisis.
