Birth of Jesus Christ

Perhaps, the most celebrated birthday event in the world is the birthday of Jesus Christ. No one really knows the date of his birth, but it is celebrated in many parts of the world on December 25.

Jesus Christ was born in Bethlehem sometime between 6 B.C. and 4 B.C. His parents were Mary and Joseph. Technically, they were the earthly parents of Jesus. In reality, Jesus was the Son of God who assumed the state of a human being in order to save the world from sin and destruction. He was conceived in Mary’s womb by the power of the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Most Holy Trinity. Joseph was the foster and legal father of Jesus.
