Profile in Brief:

Dr. Balu L. Parne currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat, Gujarat, India. Prior to SVNIT Surat, he served as an Assistant Professor in the School of Computer Science and Engineering of Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT-AP) University, Amaravathi, Andhra Pradesh from May-2018 to November-2019. Mr. Parne received his bachelor's degree from Shri Sant Gajanan Maharaj College of Engineering (SSGMCE), Shegaon which is affiliated to Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University (SGBAU), Amravati, Maharashtra, India.  He received his master's degree from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela, Orissa, India. Upon completion of his master's, he served as an Assistant Professor in the Computer Technology Department of Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering (YCCE), Nagpur from July-2013 to January- 2015. In January 2015, he joined as a full-time PhD Research Scholar in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur, and defended his Ph.D. thesis in January 2019. He has published over 20 articles in peer-reviewed journals and conferences of international repute. He serves as a reviewer of IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, IEEE Access,  and several International Journals. He also served as a Technical Program Committee Member of several conferences of national/international repute. His current areas of research are Information Security, Network Security, Privacy Preservation in the Internet of Things, Authentication in M2M Communication Networks, Mobile Computing and its Applications.
