Tip 1
For beginners, it is best to follow the tutorial first and pick up from there. Assault mode will be done first and your default money will be $250. You will get the same amount after every 6 seconds but if you send bloons to your opponent’s track, the amount of income you get for every 6 seconds will decrease. So you need to be wise and put your decision-making skills to good use. Having a strong strategy will help you level up and win more battles, and it keeps you from spending too much on unnecessary purchases at the store.
Tip 2
For those who are just starting out with the game, Dart Monkeys are the best choice. These provide quick and effective attacks while keeping your area covered. In some instances, your opponent may be able to send out Rainbow Bloons, but Dart Monkeys can easily wipe all of these out!
Tip 3
Bomb towers come in handy during early battles. Why? These can automatically halt bloons that opponents send in your pathway. Bomb towers are the most used defense in this game but are only super effective until round 12. On that round, the tower can easily wipe out all bloons within its parameter—so use it wisely.
Tip 4
As you progress in the game, there is one special technique that most people fail to use—the Sniper Monkey. We all know what sniper means and that is actually what it does in this game as well.
The Sniper Monkey is very useful when it comes to hiding and being discreet during battle. However, this is effective only until round 21 of the game. So attack smart and make use of this technique (including its upgrades) for as much as you can.
Tip 5
For those who have already earned and saved up some income in the game, it may be high time to purchase a more expensive yet effective tower—the Mortar Tower. Yes, it is very useful at all levels but it takes some practice to get the hang of it. Mortar Towers can pierce all bloons on target. So if you are already good at this game, you can damage any bloons that are on the screen. Easy peasy!
Tip 6
Another good strategy to surprise your opponent is to launch a solid and fake attack. This can be done when your opponent is busy building a farm, or is in a relaxed mode. When you notice this, act quickly and use your income to activate the offense power button and send him some bloons. This will alarm your opponent to push the Tower Booster button. When he does this, wait it out and let everything cool down. Then do an attack again.
Tip 7
If you are already so into the game and need some time to think before launching an attack, here is a cool trick that is effective in giving you about half a minute to think. Click or tap on Home. If you are using Windows, simply drag the window to temporarily stop connecting to the game. This gives you about 20–30 seconds of break time if you feel that everything is becoming so intense!

What Are The Different Types of Bloons and Towers?

Basically, there are two major types of bloons—normal and special bloons. Below is a comprehensive list of both, and this includes all the other variations of the Bloons TD Battles game.
Normal Bloons
Red - weakest and easiest to burst in the game

Pink – regarded as the fastest among all normal bloons
Black - has immunity against ongoing explosions
White – can withstand freezing areas
BTD4 or Camo - camouflages in certain towers and effective for launching secret attacks
Purple – perfect for launching in an area with plasma, fire or energy
Lead- used when there are projectiles with sharp ends
Zebra – has immunity to freezing cold areas or explosions
Rainbow
Ceramic - can withstand 10 hits before it pops and is used for attacks with glue
Golden - can withstand 300 hits before it is damaged
Ghost
Special (M.O.A.B.) Class Bloons
Brutal Flying Behemoth - takes 700 hits before it pops
Massive Ornary Air Blimp – takes 200 hits before it is damaged completely
Zeppelin Of Mighty Gargantuaness – slow bloon and takes 4000 hits before popping
Dark Dirigible Titan – fastest special bloon and takes 400 hits before it pops
Big Airship of Doom – slowest bloon yet takes 20,000 hits before it is damaged
These bloons may also change or evolve as you progress in the game. Some bloons may take in the Camo effect—making them discreet and undetectable in certain towers. There are also bloons that regrow after popping.
Aside from that, bloons may be fortified or get an extra layer of protection. This only applies to special bloons in the game. Bloons can also have a shield on top of their normal ability. Another evolution is also called the zombie evolution, wherein the bloon gets a chance to be resurrected once it is popped in the game.
Towers to Use in Bloons Tower Defense 5
There are different towers that one must know in order to level up or win in the game. In the beginning, several towers are already available. In Bloons Tower Defense 5, the default towers you get are COBRA, Monkey Sub, Heli-Pilot, Monkey Engineer, Bloonchipper, Sniper Monkey, Ninja Monkey, and Ninja Village. To level up each tower, medallions are required. To get medallions, you have to win some battles first.
The following towers can be used in other variations of the Bloons TD Battles game.
- Ice Tower
- Boomerang Thrower
- Monkey Buccaneer
- Glue Gunner
These towers need a certain amount of medallions before unlocking them. If you have already gotten midway to the game, you can unlock these towers on Bloons TD4:
- Mortar Tower
- Monkey Ace
- Dartling Gun
- Spike Factory
Just like the previous towers, they can also be upgraded using medallions to further maximize their functions. Upon reaching the latter part of the game, the final towers to be unlocked are:
- Banana Farm
- Monkey Apprentice
- Super Monkey
- Monkey Village
Since these are the top ones, you can only acquire them after winning many difficult rounds in the game.
