OPENING IN 2026
2 Hearts. 1 Mission.
At Bloom & Bridle, we believe every child deserves the chance to grow, shine, and discover their own strengths. Through the gentle partnership of horses, we create a safe and nurturing space where children—especially those with special needs—can learn, build confidence, and bloom at their own pace.
Our program blends equine-assisted learning with patience, creativity, and encouragement. Horses are natural teachers: they mirror emotions, celebrate small victories, and help children practice skills like communication, focus, and trust in ways that feel joyful and empowering.
Whether it’s a child finding their voice, developing coordination, or simply experiencing the calming presence of a horse, we walk alongside them—rein in hand—as they grow in confidence and self-discovery.
Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) is a unique, experiential learning approach that uses the partnership between humans and horses to develop essential life skills. Unlike riding lessons or traditional therapy, EAL is about engaging with horses on the ground through purposeful activities designed to promote personal growth, emotional awareness, and social connection.
Horses are highly intuitive animals, attuned to human body language and emotions. They respond authentically and without judgment, which provides participants with clear and immediate feedback. This natural interaction helps individuals recognize patterns in their own behavior, build confidence, and learn new ways of communicating and problem-solving.
EAL sessions may include a variety of hands-on activities such as grooming, leading horses through obstacle courses, team challenges, or even creative projects like painting or expressive play. These experiences allow participants to practice patience, responsibility, and leadership while forming a genuine bond with the horse—all in a supportive, nurturing environment.
Equine-Assisted Learning is designed for everyone—whether you’ve been around horses your whole life or have never touched one before. Sessions are guided in a safe and supportive way, focusing on building life skills, not riding ability. The horse’s natural sensitivity and responsiveness make them incredible teachers, and all you need to bring is an open mind and a willingness to learn.
