Privacy Policy
Last Updated: August 5, 2026
SugarTrack ("we," "our," or "us") operates the SugarTrack: Diabetes Tracker mobile application (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data.
1. Information Collection and Storage
Local Data Processing
SugarTrack is designed as a privacy-first application. We do not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal identifiable information (PII) or personal health information (PHI) on external servers.
All health logs, glucose metrics, and notes entered into the Service are stored exclusively on your local device storage. We do not have access to, nor do we host, back up, or retain your local application data.
2. Third-Party Services and Data Collection
Advertising and Analytics
While SugarTrack does not collect user data directly, the Service integrates third-party software development kits (SDKs)—such as Google AdMob—to display advertisements. These third-party providers may collect and process technical identifiers and usage data in accordance with their respective privacy policies.
Data collected by third-party ad networks may include:
IP addresses
Device identifiers (e.g., Advertising ID)
Device type, operating system, and network provider
General geolocation data
For more information on how Google manages advertising data, please review the Google Privacy Policy.
3. Data Control, Backup, and Deletion
Because all health records remain strictly on your local device:
Deletion: You can remove all stored data at any time by clearing the application cache/data via your device settings or by uninstalling the application.
Data Recovery: Because we do not store your data on external servers, we cannot recover, restore, or retrieve lost or corrupted health records resulting from device failure, app uninstallation, or user action. Users are responsible for maintaining their own device backups.
4. Children’s Privacy
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13 ("Children"). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided personal data to a third party through our app, please contact us.
5. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
