The Bloc will scrap the Indian Act and work to ensure that Indigenous people in Canada have administrative control over their cultural, educational, and justice programs.

Bloc Québécois proposes to reduce federal delays in processing applications for permanent residence and immigration

• • Especially in speeding up the processing of applications for permanent residence in Quebec—which take four to five times longer to be processed by the federal government than in the rest of Canada

We plan to end the irregular crossings at the Canada-US border — allowing a more orderly reception for migrants

Bloc plans to exclude Quebec from the Multiculturalism Act to allow Quebec to choose its own model and work towards the wants of Quebecers

Ensure that the application of the French language is mandatory everywhere in our province of Quebec

• • Guarantee that private companies prioritize French over English

The Bloc Quebecois will enact a sustainable and environmentally focused policy that will put an end to all fossil fuel subsidies and oppose all investment in the oil and gas sector.

• • This policy is put forth to meticulously try to cut greenhouse gas emissions and rethink development strategies to meet the Paris Agreement.

Amend the Act regarding carbon neutrality to include reduction targets for greenhouse gas emissions for 2030

Demand a climate test for all policies to measure the impacts on the environment and climate change

We propose that the federal government imposes environmental criteria regarding contracts, agreements, and trading relations

We plan to advocate for more robust healthcare transfers to Quebec

• • To do this, we plan to expand the costs of health care up to 35% for Quebec and all the other provinces

Reevaluate the current drug-pricing system to lower the cost of drugs

Create a federal tax credit for caregivers

The Bloc plans to prioritize housing development and allow very affordable communities and housing in order to reduce the housing crisis we are experiencing in Canada

We want to propose a tax on real estate speculation [a calculated assumption in the market by buying when the prices are low, and when the market prices rise due to the development of the area] in order to counter the artificial rise of the markets

Bloc wants to reform the access to property regimes to actually take into account the different realities of Quebec households and the diverse family situations in all provinces

Plan to tighten the control of foreign investments to further protect our economy from takeovers

Develop a policy that favours SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises) and takes into account the environmental impacts of government purchases

Develop a policy that promotes self-sufficiency in essential and strategic areas

Continue with the Gérin-Lajoie doctrine which states that everything within Quebec's jurisdiction should also be applied to international relations

• • This means that there will be a continued international voice for Quebec and allow Quebec to be involved in treaties independently of the federal government

We plan to have an international policy similar to the Belgian model — ensuring that Canada obtains the consent of Quebec before taking a position on an issue (for example, UNESCO)

We also propose that Canada stops the sale of all military equipment to Saudi Arabia due to their use of the weapons on their own citizens
