Blockwise includes parental controls designed for parents to manage their children's screen time. When parents use these features:
The parent controls all settings and data
No data is collected directly from children
All information remains local to the parent's device
Parents maintain full ownership of all data
Parents should never share their passcode with children. All modifications to parental settings require the passcode.
Blockwise requests the following permissions:
activeTab: Identify the current website being visited
host_permissions: Check any URL against your blocklist
storage: Store your blocklist and analytics locally
tabs: Monitor which tabs you're using
webNavigation: Intercept navigation to blocked sites
scripting: Display blocking screens and dashboards
All permissions are used exclusively for the extension's blocking and analytics functionality.
Data is retained only as long as the extension is installed. When you uninstall Blockwise, all data is automatically deleted from your device.
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the extension constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
