BlockSum Game is a numbers puzzle game where you select adjacent cells on a grid so their numbers add up to a target sum. Hit the target exactly to clear those cells and score points—but don’t let the grid fill up. A timer counts down and drops a new row from the top; clear cells in time or it’s game over.

A target number is shown at the top (e.g. 20, 24, 27).
Tap or drag on adjacent cells (up, down, left, right) so their numbers add up to the target.
When your sum equals the target exactly, those cells are removed and you earn points (Easy +5, Medium +10, Hard +15).
Don’t let the grid fill up. If any column has more than 8 rows when a new row drops, the game ends.
Tap or drag to select. Each new cell must be adjacent (up, down, left, or right) to the last one you selected.
Your current sum is shown next to the target. If you go over the target, the selection turns red—tap Clear or start a new selection.
When the sum equals the target, the selected cells are removed automatically and you earn points.
The top row is the “pending” row. A timer counts down (Easy 30s, Medium 20s, Hard 10s). When it reaches zero, that row drops into the play area.
You can tap the Drop button anytime to drop the pending row immediately and reset the timer.
If any column has more than 8 rows when a new row is dropped, the game ends.
Clear cells by reaching the target sum before the grid fills up!
Easy : Best for learning the rules. 30 seconds timer. +5 points
Medium : Balanced challenge. 20 seconds timer. +10 points
Hard : Fast pace and higher score potential. 10 seconds timer. +15 points
Clear – Cancel the current selection and start over.
Restart – Start a new game with the same difficulty.
Drop – Drop the pending row now and reset the timer.
Plan your path before selecting each new cell must be adjacent to the last.
Use Clear when your sum exceeds the target.
Use Drop to send the pending row early if you need more time to think or want to control when it falls.
Higher difficulty gives more points per target weigh risk vs. reward.
Look for short chains that hit the target so you clear cells quickly and keep the grid under control.
Q: What does “adjacent” mean?
A: Only cells that share a side (up, down, left, right) with the last cell you selected. Diagonals are not allowed.
Q: What if I go over the target?
A: The selection turns red. Tap Clear to cancel and start a new selection, or tap another valid cell to change your path.
Q: Can I remove only some of the selected cells?
A: No. When you hit the target exactly, all currently selected cells are removed together. Plan your path so the total equals the target.
Q: Why did the game end?
A: Game over happens when a new row is dropped and any column has more than 8 rows. Clear cells by reaching the target sum before the grid gets too full.
Q: What are the numbers in the cells?
A: Each cell shows a value from 1 to 10. You add the values of the cells you select to reach the target sum.
Q: What is the “pending row”?
A: The row at the very top of the grid. When the timer reaches zero, it drops down into the play area. You can also tap Drop to make it fall immediately.
Q: Does the timer pause?
A: No. The timer runs continuously (except when the first-time tutorial is shown). Use Drop if you want to control when the next row falls.
Q: What happens when I tap Drop?
A: The pending row drops into the grid and the timer resets for the next pending row.
Q: How is score calculated?
A: Each time your selection sum equals the target exactly, you get points: Easy +5, Medium +10, Hard +15. Your “Max Score” is the highest score in that session until you tap Restart.
Q: Can I change difficulty during a game?
A: No. Tap **Restart** to start a new game; choose a different difficulty from the home screen before starting.
Q: What is Pro Edition?
A: A one-time purchase that removes all advertisements for an ad-free experience.
Q: How do I restore my Pro purchase?
A: Open Settings → Purchase and tap Restore Purchases* Your Pro status will be restored if you bought it on this store account.
Q: I bought Pro but still see ads.
A: Try Restore Purchases in Settings → Purchase. If it persists, ensure you’re signed in with the same account you used to buy, and contact support with your store receipt if needed.
Q: What does “Adjacent cell must be selected” mean?
A: You tapped a cell that is not next to (up, down, left, or right of) the last cell in your current selection. Choose a cell that shares a side with your last selected cell.
Q: What are error codes E001–E004?
A: These relate to app store or rating features:
E001 – Rating is not available yet (e.g. not configured). Try again later.
E002 – Rating is only available on mobile devices.
E003 – Could not open the app store.
E004 – Something went wrong. Please try again.
Q: How do I turn off sound?
A: Open Settings and toggle Sounds off.
Q: How do I enable Dark Mode?
A: Open Settings and toggle Dark Mode on.
