PRIVACY POLICY
Block Apps — Stay Focused, Get Things Done
Effective Date: May 10, 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to Block Apps. This Privacy Policy explains how Block Apps ("we", "our", or "the app") handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy. Block Apps is designed to function without collecting, storing, or sharing your personal data beyond what is necessary to provide its core features.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
Block Apps does not collect, store, transmit, or share any of the following:
Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
Location data
Device identifiers beyond what RevenueCat requires for purchase verification
Browsing history or search history
Photos, videos, or media
Contacts or call logs
Any data from third-party apps on your device
3. Permissions We Use and Why
Block Apps requests certain device permissions that are essential to its core functionality. Below is a full explanation of each permission:
Note:These restrictions exist by design and are clearly communicated to the user before a session begins. All restrictions are fully and automatically lifted the moment the session ends. Users voluntarily start sessions knowing these restrictions will apply.
3.1 Accessibility Service Permission
Block Apps uses the Android Accessibility Service to detect when a user attempts to open a blocked app during an active focus session.
This permission is used solely to monitor app launches and enforce blocking during active sessions
It is used to prevent users from bypassing focus sessions through the app drawer or device navigation
No accessibility data is recorded, stored, collected, or transmitted
The Accessibility Service is only active when a focus session is running
It is not used to read screen content, capture keystrokes, or monitor any user activity beyond detecting app launches
3.2 Device Administrator Permission
Block Apps requests Device Administrator permission to prevent the app from being uninstalled during an active focus session.
This permission is used solely to lock the app against uninstallation while a session is active
During an active session, the Settings app is intentionally blocked to prevent users from navigating to Device Admin settings and disabling the protection early
This is a core and intentional feature of the app — it ensures the focus session cannot be bypassed through system settings
The Device Administrator permission and all associated restrictions are automatically and completely lifted as soon as the focus session ends
Once the session ends, the Settings app becomes fully accessible again and the user can freely disable Device Admin and uninstall the app without any restrictions
It is not used to remotely control your device, wipe data, enforce screen lock policies, or perform any action beyond protecting the integrity of active focus sessions
No device data is accessed, collected, or transmitted through this permission
3.3 Usage Access Permission
Block Apps requests Usage Access to monitor which apps are currently active on your device.
This is used solely to display your daily app usage statistics inside the app
It is used to enforce app blocking by detecting which app is in the foreground
No usage data is sent to any server or third party
All usage data remains locally on your device at all times
4. Data Storage
All data generated by Block Apps — including session settings, blocked app lists, schedules, and usage statistics — is stored locally on your device only. We do not operate servers, databases, or cloud storage of any kind. Your data never leaves your device, except where required by RevenueCat for purchase verification as described in Section 5.
5. In-App Purchases & RevenueCat

If a parent or guardian believes their child has submitted personal information through our app, please contact us immediately at Newtonbussiness@gmail.com and we will take prompt action to delete it.
8. Important Notice — Session Restrictions
When a focus session is active, Block Apps intentionally restricts access to certain device functions as part of its core bypass-proof blocking feature. These restrictions include:
The Settings app is blocked and inaccessible during the session
Device Administrator cannot be disabled during the session
The app cannot be uninstalled during the session
The Google Play Store is blocked during the session to prevent a user from unstalling the app through google playstore
The session cannot be manually cancelled once started
9. Security
We take your privacy seriously. Block Apps minimizes data collection to only what is necessary. All local app data is protected by your device's own security measures. RevenueCat uses industry-standard encryption and security practices to protect purchase data.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
Access the data held about you
Request deletion of your data

Since Block Apps stores no personal data on our end, most requests can be resolved simply by uninstalling the app. For any RevenueCat related data requests, please contact us at Newtonbussiness@gmail.com and we will assist you promptly.

1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Block Apps ("the app"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use or download the application and should remove it from your device immediately.
2. License Grant
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Block Apps on devices owned or controlled by you, strictly for your personal, non-commercial productivity and focus enhancement purposes.
3. Core Operational Design & Voluntarily Activated Restrictions
Block Apps is purposefully designed as a strict, bypass-proof productivity tool. By using the app and intentionally initiating a focus session, you explicitly understand and agree to the following system-level restrictions:
Irrevocable Active Sessions: Once a focus session is manually started by you, it cannot be paused, bypassed, or cancelled until the countdown timer fully expires.
System Settings Lockout: During an active session, the app will block access to your device’s Settings app, system configurations, and the Google Play Store.
Uninstallation Protection: To ensure the integrity of your focus goals, the app prevents itself from being uninstalled while a session is running by utilizing Android Device Administrator capabilities.
Automatic Release: All device restrictions, access lockouts, and system boundaries are automatically, completely, and immediately lifted the exact moment your session timer concludes.
4. Subscriptions, Premium Tier, & Billing
Block Apps offers optional in-app purchases and subscriptions to unlock premium capabilities.
Secure Transaction Handling: All billing, payment processing, and financial transactions are securely managed entirely by the Google Play Store. Block Apps does not process or store your financial instruments or billing details.
State Management via RevenueCat: We utilize RevenueCat to securely verify transaction states and validate your ongoing subscription tokens across your active devices.
Auto-Renewal Policy: Subscriptions automatically renew at the specified interval unless you turn off auto-renew or cancel the subscription directly within your official Google Play Account Subscriptions portal at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
Refund Policy: All refund requests are subject to the terms, conditions, and explicit approvals of the Google Play Store.
5. No Account Needed Framework
Block Apps functions without requiring user accounts or profile registrations. Consequently:
Your premium access states, custom blocklists, configurations, and schedules are tied exclusively to your physical hardware storage and your active Google Play Store credential.
Clearing your local app data, factory resetting your device, or losing access to your primary Google Play account may erase your custom schedules. You can restore valid premium purchases within the profile dashboard using the integrated "Restore purchase" utility.
6. User Responsibility and Device Compatibility
You are solely responsible for ensuring that running strict focus blocks does not conflict with critical emergency communications or vital operational tasks you may need to complete on your hardware.
We make no guarantees that Block Apps will function seamlessly alongside custom third-party operating system skins, aggressive device battery-saver managers, or restrictive security software that forcefully halts background permissions.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
Block Apps is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. While the application is engineered to aid personal productivity and assist with phone detox habits, we make no explicit guarantees regarding your academic achievements, workplace outcomes, or psychological milestones.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Block Apps, its developers, or affiliates be held liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages—including but not limited to loss of data, missed notifications, alarms failing to sound, or temporary system lockout inconveniences—arising out of or related to your voluntary use or inability to use the application.
9. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms & Conditions at any time to remain compliant with updating Google Developer Policies or Android SDK frameworks. Any modifications will be declared by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of these terms. Your continued use of Block Apps following the publication of changes constitutes firm acceptance of the updated terms.
