Jeremy Monthy (Charles) is chuffed to be appearing in his fourth show with Tapestry Players since he returned to the stage in 2024. He is a trial lawyer and founding partner of a boutique law firm specializing in business litigation, white collar criminal defense and investigations, and sports-related disputes. When not at his primary or secondary “offices” (watching the Astros at home and away), Jeremy serves community and philanthropic organizations, including as a Board Member of the Alley Theatre.
Most of Jeremy’s stage credits predate this century. Post-revival credits include: Sister Act! (Curtis), The Man Who Came To Dinner (Sheridan Whiteside), Almost, Maine (Phil), and And Then There Were None (General MacKenzie). Jeremy is eternally grateful to be performing again for Tina, and he dedicates this farcical performance to his first-first wife, the thoroughly non-acidic Wendi.
Katrina Dagher (Ruth) is excited to return to the stage at Tapestry Players in Blithe Spirit. Her previous Tapestry Players credits include Bright Star (Lucy), The Sound of Music (Elsa Schraeder), Sister Act (Michelle), and several musical revues. Other notable credits include Grease (Sandy), Carousel (Julie Jordan), Oklahoma! (Laurey), and Heathers: The Musical (Veronica).
Katrina currently serves as the Caring Ministries Lead at St. Luke’s. She would like to thank her husband for his unwavering love and support throughout the rehearsal process and always.
After thawing out from a 20-year cryogenic freeze, Alexis (Elvira) is delighted to return to the stage.
This British parlour comedy holds special meaning. Her mother played Elvira in 1968. Her father, Alec, a Tapestry Players alum, played Charles in a professional production in the 1970s. Alexis is delighted to join the generations of artists who have found their way into Noël Coward’s mischievous world.
“My deepest appreciation to: Tina, for her vision and direction that captures Coward’s original wit and tone, worthy of his approving smirk; to the cast, for welcoming me into the fold, and to Margaret and Carrie, for a gown that brings Elvira to life before she utters a word. Theater is best enjoyed in good company, and at Tapestry Players, I have been fortunate in mine. Thank you for making room for a newcomer and sharing an experience I wouldn’t dream of exorcising.”
Offstage, Alexis is the mother of Archer and E.V. … a role that has been met with mixed reviews. And to Ben, her favorite leading man in this life and the next, Alexis reserves the right to have the last laugh from beyond the grave.
Kim (Madame Arcati) is always thrilled to return to Tapestry Players. She last appeared as Lady Bracknell in The Importance of Being Earnest. Has also been seen as the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella and the Mother Superior in Sister Act. Her career spans decades from Houston to Broadway and global stages. Most notably the longest running Carlotta in The Phantom of the Opera on Broadway, several National Tours and globally having performed the role over 6,000 times. She was the resident soprano of the Village Light Opera Group of New York City for over 15 years, as well as an extensive concert and opera background. Host of “daytime” morning talk show in Toronto and producer of a variety of charity events across both the US and Canada. She was proud to portray Bianca Castafiore, in Steven Spielbergs, “The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn” (Golden Globe Award) with Daniel Craig and Andy Serkis. On local stages she has appeared with Theater Under the Stars in Sister Act and her dream show, Ragtime, as Emma Goldman. Her proudest production to date, is her amazing daughter Kendra. She always feels blessed to be back HOME with her Tapestry family.
Hayden Messamore (Dr. Bradman) is happy to return for his twelfth appearance with Tapestry. He’s excited to be a normal person in a play for the first time since his first Tapestry show in 2018. Thank you to Tina for the opportunity, the crew for their time and hard work, and the lovely cast for their professionalism, cheeky banter, and good spirits.
Lena Lowe (Mrs. Bradman) is particularly proud of her long-standing history with Tapestry Players (2016–Present) and the Gilbert & Sullivan Society of Houston (2013–2024). Some of her favorite Tapestry memories include playing Ginette (Almost, Maine), Poopsie (The Pajama Game), and Lucinda (Into the Woods). With the Houston Gilbert & Sullivan Society, she spent over a decade performing in their classic operettas, with highlights including understudying Hebe (H.M.S. Pinafore) and Peep-Bo (Topsy-Turvy Mikado), as well as singing with the Savoyard Singers and meeting her husband and favorite stage partner, Mike. Her other favorite local theater credits include Shelby (Steel Magnolias) and Elinor Dashwood (Sense and Sensibility) with the online group, More Comedy/Less Tragedy. When she isn't acting, she performs regularly as a soloist and chorister with Over the Top Singers, and has lent her voice to Pride Chorus Houston, the Houston Symphony Chorus, and Up with People.
Carly (Edith) is a Houston-based actress, recently graduated from Drake University with her BFA in musical theatre performance. You may have seen her as Cecily in The Importance of being Earnest and most recently, performing ensemble in The Pajama Game here at Tapestry Players. Around Houston, you may have seen her in Main Street Theatre's touring musical production of Elephant and Piggie's "We Are in a Play!" and The Pigeon Gets a Big Time Holiday Extravaganza. She would like to thank her friends and family who support her and give her biggest thanks to God.
Enjoy the show!
Tina Throckmorton (Director) is a founding member of Tapestry Players. She has been involved on or offstage in over 30 of our productions. When not in the Rotunda, Tina is an early childhood music specialist with the Prelude Music Foundation. She would like to thank this wonderful cast and crew for all of their hard work, her family for their unending support, Sid for growing a thriving music and fine arts program in our church and the Lord above for leading her to this place.
Scott D. Forsyth (Assistant Director) - You may recognize Scott on stage from other Tapestry Players productions, including The Pajama Game, Emojiland, and Almost, Maine. Still, Scott is thrilled to share his behind-the-scenes talents in Blithe Spirit. He couldn't be prouder of this cast for bringing these eccentric characters to life. Everyone brought something special to their roles, making the show feel fresh and fun to watch every night. Scott wants to thank Sid, Jake, Margaret, Hayden, Keiland, Erin, and the rest of the technical crew for being such an exciting creative force to work with. Their help was invaluable in making this show's magic happen. He especially wants to thank our director, Tina, for being such a wonderful leader, teacher, and friend to work under. He couldn't have asked for a better director, and he is honored that she trusted him to help create this production.
