Metempsychosis is the most introspective release ever made by the band. Music was written by Sikkardinal in 7 days during a intense period of hatred. The songwriting and arrangements dwell in insanity and torment, directly inspired by our cursed existences.
The full-length album will be out on Swedish label Black Lion Records on November 7th 2025 in Europe and North America.
Metempsychosis is defined by the transmigration of the soul after death from one body to another.
Bliss of Flesh's new opus addresses metempsychosis through the observation of an individual who helplessly witnesses their physical decline via the gradual deterioration of their five senses. This decline inexorably plunges them into a feverish emotional state, propelling an introspective journey through the various stages of loss and grief. Each loss engenders a new perception and a shifting apprehension of the future. They are forced to rediscover an altered body and a world that has become hellish. A mixture of fear and expectation where the life they once knew becomes an endless circle of renewal, culminating in death : a portal to a new existence, each time more destitute and altered.
BLISS OF FLESH’s new album Metempsychosis has been mixed and mastered by Neb Xort at Drudenhaus Studio (France).
The artwork was created by acclaimed Hungarian artist Balázs Jacsó. The centerpiece is a chalice symbolizing the inconscious pact between the Individual and Existence. From birth, we live anathematized until our demise.

Formed in 1999, French black metallers BLISS OF FLESH have always been a very charismatic band. Their obscure brand of unique and obscure black'n death metal has aroused genuine passion in many European lands attracting an ever growing amount of followers. The band has also been building up a scorching reputation for their incendiary live shows.
BLISS OF FLESH developped a conceptual trilogy of three albums inspired by Dante’s Trilogy Divine Comedy concluded by Empyrean in 2017 on Listenable Records.

In 2020, BLISS OF FLESH unveiled Tyrant, an album rooted in the philosophical essay Discours de la Servitude Volontaire (Voluntary Servitude Thesis) by French thinker Étienne de La Boétie.
