At the start of each academic year, students will be given a homework timetable. Copies of these can be downloaded at the bottom of this page. They must highlight on their subject timetable in their planner, the lessons when homework will be set. The homework timetable is provided so that students know when to expect homework; it is designed to enable them to keep on top of their work, as well as manage their time effectively. Homework will be set at the times specified on the timetable for all subjects. There may occasionally be times when extra homework is set, for example, before a Key Assessment or exam. For creative subjects homework may be in the form of rehearsals or extended projects.

Teachers may put homework they have set onto the Stachel One website, along with any useful resources to help students complete their homework. Students can log into Satchel One using their personal username and password or by using the same log in details for school computers.

Students will be assessed via homework, Tri-Weekly and Key Assessments tests on a regular basis throughout the year. Reports to parents on these tests would follow the school reporting system. Thank you very much for your reply. We are from Turkey and just moved from Istanbul to Epsom. My boys went to a private English school in Istanbul but I am sure they will need support on English if not in other lessons eg Maths, Science etc. The only available school in our area shows Epsom & Ewell and Therfield plus Bleinheim which shows 'Needs Improvement' on Ofset report. Do you have any idea about Therfield School?

Blenheim's Ofsted is now at "requires improvement" and has recently appointed a new head. The children use iPads as homework diaries plus other various things and are allowed to wear earphones to listen to music during certain lessons. Some may like this but I personally wasn't keen when I went to view the school. Epsom and Ewell's Ofsted rating is "good' and is smaller than Blenheim. Epsom and Ewell appointed a very strong head who seemed to turn things around for the school. I know a lot of children who go to both schools and some of my friends children did very well in their GCSEs at Epsom and Ewell. Like with any school there are good and bad points about both and it is a case of visiting to see which stands out for you.

The Balancing Enrollment web map allows the community to view the current boundary adjustment scenarios being evaluated by the Advisory Team. This web map contains existing boundaries and will be updated with boundary revision options as the committee process progresses. Please note, the Advisory Team will be reviewing the middle school and high school boundaries in the coming months and that data will be added to the map at that time.

Winston attended the prestigious Harrow School in England, where he scored very high in math, English, and history. His father died early in his life. Consequently, he tried many times to get his mother to come visit him or to get permission to go see her, but this seldom happened. He spent his release time from school with his grandmother. This turn of events did a great deal to form the young Churchill into a very rebellious and independent person.

They spent a memorable day touring Blenheim Palace and its gardens and meeting the Duke of Marlborough before the ceremony where they were presented with a framed certificate and a beautiful signed book on the history of Blenheim Palace. The day was rounded off with a delicious high tea in The Orangery and a chance to see the work of the various winning schools.

Students are exposed to the mechanisms, institutions, and principles that underpin modern business. They address the main business principles of strategic planning, marketing, economics, finance, accounting, and management. Concepts covered include SWOT analysis, developing a marketing strategy, as well as working through how to create a product-centered company and draft a business plan. For their final project, they create a mock company that they present in a "Shark Tank", mirroring the high-pressure, quick-tempo presentations used at colleges, business schools, and startup incubators around the world.

*This program is suspended until 2022 fall school year, at minimum. Blandford-Blenheim'ers aged 4 to 13 are invited to come to the Drop-In Centre for fun activities on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Blenheim and Plattsville Public School gyms. Locations alternate each week. Each location now has a homework club in a separate room to allow students a place to work on their homework or get help with it.

From consolidating classroom learning to appeasing parents or preparing for high school, there are so many arguments to support the seemingly endless array of primary homework sheets found stashed between smelly lunchboxes and school hats.

To help make sure you and your children have a restful break, we have asked that no homework be assigned during this time. Children who show up for school regularly develop fundamental reading and math skills while building a habit of good attendance that will carry them into college and careers. Research shows that children who were chronically absent (missing 18 days or more) in kindergarten and first grade were far less likely to read proficiently at the end of third grade.

Model United Nations, also known as Model UN or MUN, is an activity in which students roleplay delegates to the United Nations and simulate UN committees. This activity takes place at MUN conferences, this year we plan on attending the William and Mary College MUN. This club will help prepare our delegates for the awesome experience of acting as a delegate to represent a chosen country at WMIDMUN. This is an excellent opportunity to participate in something that could be used on a high school resume and develop debating and argumentation skills.
