Kedu ( Hello in Igbo) My name is Chinemelu Elonu, the owner of Blends. I was born in Nigeria but raised in Houston, Texas with my 4 other siblings. I graduated from Texas A&M University in 2009, since then I was drafted by Los Angeles Lakers in the same year to start my pro career as a basketball player. Basketball has lead me to play in many countries around the world like Spain, Turkey, Greece, China and Puerto Rico. Ever since being exposed to Puerto Rico and its beautiful land and people, I have made this my home choose to open my different businesses here, I started with my non-profit The Hope For Us Charity, PR Chapter because I love to help children get a better start in education after moved to start Del Norte PR, which is a car detailing and supplies  business. Finally this brings us to why I started Blends Kitchen & Lounge, I wanted everyone to be able to experience the foods and cultures from all the countries I have been fortunate to live and stay in. Every month we want to bring a different cuisine from a different country to give people on the island the opportunity to try, well enjoying life in the process.
