Blank Notes is built with a "Privacy First" philosophy. This policy explains how we handle your data.
Blank Notes does not collect, store, or transmit your notes to any external servers.
Local Storage Only: Your notes are stored exclusively in your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local). They never leave your device.
No Accounts: You do not need to create an account or provide an email address to use the standard features of Blank Notes.
If you purchase a Pro license through ExtensionPay, the extension will verify your purchase status via the ExtensionPay service (`extensionpay.com`). This is the only data the extension transmits. No personal information from your notes or your browsing history is shared during this process.
3. Third-Party Services
We use ExtensionPay to process payments and verify licenses. Please refer to [ExtensionPay's Privacy Policy](https://extensionpay.com/privacy) for information on how they handle your payment data.
The extension uses built-in HTML sanitization to ensure that your notes are rendered safely in Markdown preview and PDF exports, protecting you from malicious scripts.
The extension requires the following permissions to function:
storage: To save your notes and settings locally.
https://api.gumroad.com/*: To verify your Pro license key.
