8th Grade Fall 2025 In-Class Program
Scientist Dr. Allison Robinson from the Discovery Museum visited the 8th grade science classes for an exciting hands-on program called Physical Changes of Matter II! The students participated in engaging experiments with sublimation, condensation, dry ice, liquid nitrogen, heat conductivity and more!
The Blanchard PTO is applying for a grant from the Westford Cultural Council, a division of the Mass Cultural Council, to make this program possible.

7th Grade Fall 2025 Program
On Friday November 7, Egyptologist Paulette Morin presented to the Blanchard 7th graders about Ancient Egypt with her renowned program Pyramids and Pharaohs! This Blanchard favorite is interactive and engaging, aligned with and enhancing the current curriculum unit on Egypt in 7th Grade Social Studies classes.

6th Grade Fall 2025 Program
Renowned author Jack Gantos visited 6th graders on Thursday, October 23rd to discuss the creative writing process. The kids were inspired as this Newberry award winning author of over 60 children's and young adult books shares his tips and tricks for being a great writer.

7th Grade Spring 2026 Program
Blanchard 7th graders enjoyed a performance of Mythmasters!
MythMasters supplements the student's 7th grade units on Greek mythology and explores the stories of Phaeton and Helios, Orpheus and Eurydice, and Echo and Narcissus. Through a skillful blend of mime, comedy, drama, puppetry, masks, music, reverence, irreverence, and lots of audience participation, the gods and goddesses, heroes and villains, monsters and maidens of Greek mythology walk the earth once more.
6th Grade Spring 2026 Program
New Inca Son visited Blanchard’s 6th graders, bringing the music, culture and the arts of the Andes. The energy in the auditorium is always wonderful and inspires musicians and non-musicians alike! Support of this program is funded through a grant from the Westford Cultural Council, a division of the Mass Cultural Council, and by Blanchard families and friends! Thank you for your support in making programs like this possible for the Blanchard students!

Our Blanchard 8th graders experienced the GO BIG BMX AIR show! These professional riders shared their incredible talents and tips for life success with the 8th grade students.

Spring 2026 Program
Our 8th graders had a virtual tour of Signers Hall at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, PA. They gathered in the auditorium and took a virtual tour, walking alongside 42 life-sized bronze statues of the framers of the Constitution and relived the moment that launched a government ruled by "We the People".
