8th Grade Fall 2026 Programs

Discovery Museum hands-on program Physical Changes of Matter II will allow the students to participate in engaging experiments with sublimation, condensation, dry ice, liquid nitrogen, heat conductivity and more! 

7th Grade Fall 2026 Program

Egyptologist Paulette Morin will present to the Blanchard 7th graders about Ancient Egypt with her renowned program Pyramids and Pharaohs! This Blanchard favorite is interactive and engaging, aligned with and enhancing the current curriculum unit on Egypt in 7th Grade Social Studies classes.

6th Grade Fall 2026 Program

Renowned author Jack Gantos will visit 6th graders to discuss the creative writing process. Mr. Gantos is a Newberry award winning author of over 60 children's and young adult books. He will share his tips and tricks for being a great writer. 

8th Grade Spring 2027 Program

We hope to have a virtual tour of Signers Hall at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, PA.  They will gather in the auditorium and take a virtual tour with a museum tour guide, walking alongside 42 life-sized bronze statues of the framers of the Constitution and relived the moment that launched a government ruled by "We the People".

7th Grade Spring 2027 Program

Blanchard 7th graders may enjoy a performance of Mythmasters! (Or ROMANS- TBD)

MythMasters supplements the student's 7th grade units on Greek mythology and explores the stories of Phaeton and Helios, Orpheus and Eurydice, and Echo and Narcissus. Through a skillful blend of mime, comedy, drama, puppetry, masks, music, reverence, irreverence, and lots of audience participation, the gods and goddesses, heroes and villains, monsters and maidens of Greek mythology walk the earth once more.

6th Grade Spring 2027 Program

 New Inca Son will visit Blanchard’s 6th graders, bringing the music, culture and the arts of the Andes. The energy in the auditorium is always wonderful and inspires musicians and non-musicians alike!
