Having been creating art in countless mediums for 17 years, Blair Devine (She/Her) is an Audio-Visual Artist who clings to creation as a means of survival. Her debut EP, TRAUMATICA, was released under the unmakeyourself alias as a way to capture the suffocating wall of noise and constant anxiety of the traumas she has faced in her life.
Blair was first commissioned in 2012 to create the menu for a local restaurant, where she focused on creating a clean yet pleasing layout without sacrificing readability. Blair was certified by Adobe for knowledge in Photoshop CS6 before graduating high school, and had professional experience in Premiere Pro, Illustrator, and other Creative Suite applications as she entered the workforce.
While bouncing from job to job, Blair focused on trying to find a medium to channel her unstoppable artistic intent into, bouncing between photography, video production, 3D art and animation, and writing before finding her calling as a musician in 2014. Her artistic process was forged as a way to survive in the worst circumstances, and as such leads to unique and interesting ideas executed to their fullest potential regardless of any limitations or lack of experience.
First identifying as nonbinary in 2019, Blair fully began transitioning at the age of 27. Currently, she is focusing on finding her place in the world, cultivating a healthy environment with good people surrounding her, and honing her production skills as a musician. With everything she does, Blair hopes to leave the world a better place than she found it, refusing to succumb to the hatred that she was exposed to in her past.
Most of Blair's artistic endeavors can be found under the alias unmakeyourself, a reminder that who you used to be is not who you are today. To unmake yourself, you must know who you are, choose what parts of yourself to keep, and to rebuild yourself in a way that makes you happy.
