Hello Visitor! This page is currently incomplete. If you have a question that isn't yet completed below, ask Blaine or Liam!
Setup Mode / Connecting to WiFi
When you plug your heart in for the first time, it will go in to setup mode, as indicated by the rainbow pattern. It will also enter setup mode any time it can't find the saved WiFi network. To connect your heart to your WiFi, ensure it's in setup mode, then...
On your phone or computer connect to the WiFi network "___'s Heart Setup".
If the page doesn't automatically load, open a web browser and go to http://8.8.8.8. Then click "Configure Wifi", select your WiFi network, enter the password and press Save.
Wait for up to 60 seconds. If you entered the correct WIFI information, your heart will reboot and start showing the right color(s). Note that it may immediately begin downloading an update (see below) which will require you to wait a minute before using it.
Automatic brightness dimming
You can set up your heart so that it automatically dims itself when the room it's in gets dark. To set the threshold, first, turn the brightness up, and then rotate the knob on the back all the way counter-clockwise. Then, turn off the lights in the room, and rotate the knob clockwise until the heart goes dim. Now you can turn the lights in the room on and off and watch the heart get bright and dim along with them.
Status Indicators
The light(s) next to the knobs on your heart indicate the online status of the other heart(s) in your group. Green means that heart is connected to you. Blue means it is currently offline.
If there are three red lights, that means you are offline and should reboot the heart to try reconnecting
If there are three orange lights, that means you are in setup mode (see above instructions for connecting to wifi)
If there are three white lights, that means a firmware update is in progress -- leave your heart plugged in until the lights change color (~1 minute)
Multicolor Mode
By default, all the hearts will sync up to be the same color as each other. However, you can enable Multicolor Mode, which will give each user control over one section of the heart. Click here for the controls to switch between multicolor and solid color mode.

Downloading updates
When your heart turns on (and periodically while it is plugged in), it will check for updates. If it finds an update, it will begin downloading the update which will take about 1 minute and will render your heart unusable for that time. You can tell an update is in progress if all three status indicator lights are white.
Paper diffusers
Your heart may have come with some paper diffusers. You can place these under the top acrylic insert in order to make your heart even dimmer and more diffused lighting.
