Learning About the Bees

Come out and participate in a hive inspection.

Look inside the hive while I inspect a honey bee colony. You will see worker bees coming and going from the hive collecting pollen, nectar, and propolis, nurse bees taking care of the young bees, and hopefully we will see the queen. Get your questions answered and find out if beekeeping is something you are interested in.

Beekeeping equipment such as bottom boards, brood boxes, honey supers, frames, inner covers and outer covers are cheaper when they are shipped unassembled, but sometimes its difficult to understand exactly how it all goes together.
